Didn't realize Ronaldo scored that many goals for you. At 37. Absolute machine and freak of nature. GOAT after Messi.

We were far better under Ole. Amorim is a joke.

Even Ole admits signing CR Kelly that summer was a mistake.

He'd have been better off sorting out the midfield by signing a deep-lying playmaker for a start. In terms of on-field matters it's arguably been our biggest issue since what, 2009 maybe?

The manager who actually tries to address that area of the pitch properly at long last might just stand a chance. I'm not confident that Amorim's going to be the one to do that though, which is a concern among many at the moment.

Ole being more vocal in transfers may have been better for us

Ronaldo wasn’t the right signing but he still was way better than anything we have now. The mistake was not signing Declan Rice in 2022/23 whenever it was we got Casemiro. I watched an interview with Gary Neville where he said we didn’t even try to sign him and he may have joined us

Ronaldo and Bruno in front of Rice in midfield would have been much better for us than the current alternative

Ronaldo's agent played a blinder with that move.

Just look at some of the idiotic comments above. Some of these imbeciles are too arrogant to ever admit they were talking utter shiiiit.

So let me get this straight, we signed Ronaldo. Managed to spend another 500m after he left. Came 3rd. But it was after his signing that it went to shiiit??? The same manager that got rid of him blessed us with Rasmus- Onana- Mount 🤣🤣🤣

Respect to you. At least you have changed your tone somewhat.

Utter ridiculous to have stinkers from likes of Zirkzheee and rasmus now, then proceeding to criticising a player at 37 that ended up 3rd top scorer.

I am told his presence was too much for these losers! Bunch of players with no winning mentality, saw a winner in the dressing room and couldn’t handle it.

The club was on an upwards trajectory until we signed Ronaldo.

As an individual he did an incredible job scoring tbe goals that he did in the PL at his age. But the team suffered overall and we scored less goals as a team.

That's not an attack on Ronaldo, but the signing didn't work out.

No we were not! I lIke ole as much as the next man, however we were never pushing on from 2nd to 1st. Ole was/ is not beating Pep to any league title.

Sancho was signed that same window and he stank the place. Funnily enough, I don’t see much commentary regarding how we could’ve used that money better.

The signing didn’t work out to you. When I see likes of rasmus and Zirkzheee who both can’t score in a brothel, it is ridiculous to state a 37 year old scoring a goal every other game for us didn’t work out.

The problem was not ronaldo the problem was the losers in the squad couldn’t handle playing with a winner. They didn’t like someone who rocked the boat; the boat of achieving little and doing very little and getting paid well. Ronaldo is far better than any striker we have had since he’s left. Fact.

I believe this to be true. I don’t blame Ronaldo.
This was mismanagement from our execs, and they got played.
Fearing the ‘embarrassment’ of CR7 at Man City.
Not having the balls to say, let him go to City.
Not realising that these ‘Soft hearted’ players wouldn’t respond to his high standards. As if Lingard, Rashford, Maguire have the same mentality of a Rio, Rooney and Evra. Ole knew how to deal with them.
They effed up the dynamic, and basically, CR7 was the cherry on the cake of poor poor decision making.

TBF, when you've got Woodward and Murtough sat across from you at the negotiating table, you don't really need to do much.

The Ronaldo signing was quite simply a panic buy. We didn't have the squad to be able to support such a signing and Ronaldo wasn't the right type of player we needed at the club at the time.

Ronaldo is of course a great player, but there is a circus that comes with that, and given everything else that was happening at the club, it's no surprise it ended up acrimoniously.

City were the main team, we were desperate to do anything to try and catch them but went the wrong way about it. Wasn't Ronaldo's fault, but after the short-term boost, reality soon set in.

Thank you!!

We are seeing these very losers giving each other high fives after losing.

Laughing after drawing with City. 40 Year old Ronaldo is crying after missing a pen. He has won it all. Holds nearly every damn record.

Our players sitting in 14th, laughing and joking about. Players are losers and some of our fan base absolute losers.

Look at the below comment:

"He couldn’t have done much more for them last season. The fact he still managed 22 goals in the worst Utd team of the last 30years is astounding. He scored every type of goal too. Poachers, headers, free kicks, pens, outside the box… everything. If he was at any other top club in the world he would have bagged 35-40+ easy."

I do find it bizarre the thinking of folks at JA606 compared to most other places.

We now have two forwards who have 6 PL goals between them come the 14th April. 3 goals each.

Every single person involved in bringing either Hojlund and Zirkzee to the club should be sacked immediately.

Sigh. Were were on an upwards trajectory when we signed Ronaldo. We had finished 3 and then 2nd under Ole, having finished 6th the year previously after Jose was sacked. I didn't say that he would beat Pep to the title. Once again you are arguing a point that no-one ahs made.

Sancho has been widely panned. No idea what you are going on about here. But Sancho's arrival didn't alter the style of our play. He was just another wide player. Ronaldo's arrival saw a shift in how the team played, with everything being focused on getting the ball to him. It worked for him personally, but not the team as whole.

What players have done after Ronaldo left is completely irrelevant to the discussion. It is such a strawman argument that it shouldn't even need explaining. The fact is that the arrival of Ronaldo turned out to be a bad move for Ole and the club.

That isn't a slight in any way on Ronaldo. He has been one of the greatest players to ever play the game. Perhaps the greatest. I was swept along with the excitement of his return and no-one can doubt the level of effort he put in. But with hindsight, it was the wrong decision to bring him back.

Once again, you are regurgitating the same old tired nonsense! Do you ever get tired?

"focused on getting the ball to him. It worked for him personally, but not the team as whole."

Nothing has worked for this team as a whole since the great man left. Conveniently, you omitted the fact he was surrounded by some utter failures who are still here.

On this nonsense though, I have actually looked at the figures of chances he himself created for others and the jokers we had could not even hit the target, never mind scoring.

Ole was here for a good and short time. Ronaldo or no Ronaldo, his time was going to come sooner or later because he is a mediocre manager at best at premier league level.
