Felt inevitable that this would happen. In truth, he probably should have left last summer, left on a high and saved himself from being associated with this nightmare.

As sad as it is, he age has finally caught up with him and he's not the same player anymore. It's sad to see him at this stage in the worst Leicester City team in the modern era being completely unable to do anything. But he should never have had to start 30 odd Premier League games this season - he was only ever going to be effective as an impact sub. It was almost unfair to expect that from him. That is total negligence on the club's part for not signing a suitable replacement at any stage since 2016.

But what a player he has been. A club legend - sorry I ever doubted him. The final remnant of a great period in our history, now consigned to dust as we slide towards our grim future.

Still, at least we have Patson Daka's 5 goals to look forward to next season.

No way he was ever walking away from 140k a week ! Id say the owners were more than fair in that regard and more recently 80k.

He was a tremendous servant to Leicester but he was mist definitely rewarded properly hence why he stayed.
