It was a bit of a running joke among Wolves fans when O'Neil kept telling the press that he was trying to get him to do more work out of possession. Can't say I noticed particularly, you don't really your best attacking player tracking back to his own 18 yard line, Gaz seemed to be pretty hung up on that though.
One thing I would say is that he does tend to decide when he's had enough and downs tools towards the end of games, seems he gets a bit emotional when knackered hence the Ipswich & Kerkez incidents but have also seen him refusing to run, more or less demanding to be taken off even when we've used all subs. That happened before the ridiculous Ipswich incident.
He’s absolutely not what United need at the moment, work rate and temperament terrible.
That means he’s guaranteed to end up there.

One contributor to the podcast spoke about watching Strand Larsen running back past Cunha to tackle back, which obviously, we couldn’t have happening.
Then there’s the disciplinary stuff, the fallout with O’Neal, the social media bullshiiiit, etc.
---------
The fact that Simeone shipped him out so soon should add to those concerns too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was because he had too much flair for Simeone’s liking.

How will he manage in the world of football and all the superbrains inhabiting it?
He’ll probably pat his badge a few times and make a love heart shape when he scores?

What is this fixation on running! This is the same nonsense that was said during Ronaldo's time. We got someone that presses now Rasmus, how is that working out?
This fixation on doing everything like Guardiola is killing football quickly. We need bloody quality players. Enigmas. This guy is the real deal, I don't care about no pressing.

Agree with this 100%.
However, a balance needs to be found between Enigmas and Water Carriers. It’s going to take a huge amount of effort on the pitch to drag United back up the table.

Pressing is incredibly important in the contemporary elite game. I would have thought that’s a pretty uncontroversial statement.
How many top sides around Europe don’t (or aren’t able to) employ a determined and successful high press?
It’s a tactical default for teams who want the lion’s share of possession.

No one is against the idea of pressing as a whole. Our team with cantona was full of runners! As Keane however rightly said, they allowed players like cantona to walk because these players can change a game in an instant! My point was more this heavy focus on all outfield players having to be grafters!
