Just been chatting about this on another thread, if they can stay in the league next year it might take a couple of seasons but they could keep on improving and MAYBE nice up again?
Lot of it's and buts but they seem to have the backing and drive, it's been a proper fairytale story this far though
will be interesting to see how they do in the next couple of seasons
Amazing fairytale, millionaire owners pump money I to club and they do well
You couldn’t make it up
F-ck Wrexham and f-ck Ryan Reynolds. Massive bellllend.
Maybe Gary Neville could work there there as an intern next season.

Sounds like your dislike stems from a dislike of Reynolds. What's the thought process?
Could be worth up to 13m extra a year to them, theyve pumped 6m in on 40 odd players?

Have you not seen a film with Ryan Reynolds in it?
What’s there to like about a club being bought by a Hollywood millionaire?

I would imagine Wrexham like it quite a lot.
I wish our owners had their passion for the club they own. We would not be where we are now, that is for sure.
I don't support Wrexham so what's your point?
I don't like the idea of a club being financially backed to the point where they can blow away virtually every other club in their league 3 seasons running while getting massive levels of positive media attention while many clubs around them struggle to survive. There is nothing remotely interesting about it.
I also despise Reynolds, his films are awful, he comes across as a smug pr-ck and he's got a really annoying face.
Birmingham City had by far the biggest budget in League One this season...way bigger than Wrexham's
They spent £30M on players last summer, which is incredible for a tier 3 club

Won the league by a mile
Second biggest financially backed club Wrexham look like finishing 2nd
I quite like watching their program, but why’s it a great story?
Loads of money = promotion.
What are they going to do in the championship, though?
does loads of money always = success?

Agreed, give me the good ol' fashioned Trainer salesman or Steel Mogul any day, even better the oil rich guy from the middle east.
Great story. Wrexham were slowly dying for over a decade and then bought by some Hollywood guys who took naivety to new levels and didn't splash a fortune. 3 promotions in a row is quite astounding in any world.
Add to that Manutd1982s missus will get to see even more Ryan while his pee is boiling makes it even better.

Have you even looked at their squad? They haven’t actually spent that much, just bought players that fit the league they’re in. Jay Rodriguez and James McLean are the only well known players and they’re in their mid 30’s.
It’s a very odd level of bitterness you’re showing….
It’s quite funny actually, the team he supports has frequently tried the ‘blowing other teams out of the water’ approach to transfers and look where it’s got them

Coming up through the leagues, yes, I think it pretty much does.
Huddersfield the big underperformers based on what I’ve seen on the wages in that league.
Birmingham and Wrexham performing as expected with their spends.
Be interesting to see what Wrexham can do next season. They can’t outspend teams now, so they’ll need a bit more nous.
I forgot about these Trainer salesman or Steel Mogul getting TV deals with Amazon to give their clubs huge media attention and making their clubs far wealthier than those around them. If you find what’s happened to Wrexham interesting then fine, I don’t.
