Forest have done very well but it is ridiculous to ignore the context.

I don't believe I have "constantly denigratsd Forest" either. Where is the evidence for that? Just giving an opinion. I have similar opinions on Man City though I admire many of their players.

And it was great to have a little meet up post match. Good times ahead next season.

Another nail-biter with too much at stake to allow for much free-flowing football. We were the better side first half but Stoke maybe just shaded the second although we should have scored instead of hitting the bar twice within 15 seconds!

Vickers again was calmness personified and pulled off one excellent save while Jensen pulled off a "worldie" - both in the first half. Wilson did well first half but was largely shackled by Gooch second. Fozzie was great throughout while Clarke, Phillips and Langas were like rocks. Armstrong deservedly won MOM - what a talent, one tackle in particular being outstanding. Ebou was his usual self cementing his Player of the Season awards but Thommo was a bit quiet. Yates as usual covered just about every blade of grass and Harness produced some moments of class. NML did well when he came on later.

Thanks to WBA for helping to relieve the tension as the match progressed. What a roller-coaster it has been. Huge thanks to JE and his staff for working out how to use and set up his squad and to DC for having the courage to part with PW and co. This summer should be very interesting!

Afternoon Chicago. Yes, a bit of a nailbiter. I thought 0 0 was about right although either side could have nicked it.
In fairness i cant fault the players he brought in, because other than the freebies JE got, it was essentially Warney's team. Now i have to say that i was upset when he got sacked, but, in hindsight i think he'd taken the team as far as he could....and probably L1 is his level. I just really liked the guy but it was clear from his interviews in the latter stages of his tenure at DCFC he'd "lost it". Anyway, its history now. But JE, for all of his dour nature clearly is a step up for us. We have to thank Clowes yet again for having the foresight to sack PW and replace him with what has proved to be a far better manager. I'm therefore hoping for us to be pushing top 6 next season.
It will be interesting to see what the team looks like next season. Who will he retain, who will he bring in, will he bring any through from the academy ??? One final thought on JE - because he is perceived as a good Championship Manager will he be able to attract the type of Player that Warney couldn't. An interesting summer awaits us. Cheers. Terry. Was having to work whilst just wanting to scream

EUSTACE

at kids I'm supposed to be coaching.

This season and the two in League One have taken their toll. Feel like we're on a bonus level. Was thinking about a League One rebuild two months ago, now it's a championship one.

It's hard to tell what the Eust has planned. Can the Pulis ball that kept us up be the foundation, or was it the polyfilla. 5 at the back gave us solidity even under Warne, who I think should receive some plaudits especially for our goal difference.

We have a target man in the Viking, think we desperately need a wide player that can put their foot on the ball.

I imagine he'll want to move to a back four, I don't think Armstrong will come to us will he ???

Yep. Plenty of other teams that fall into the questionable financial appropriate behaviour. Forest just happen to be one. I don’t hate them … I’m from Nottingham 😀

On a positive note though, if Karma be a thing. What we have endured the last four or five years and how we have endured it, and still sung and showed up when what we witnessed in front of us, burned the retina with ugliness, how we have stuck together as a fan base, huddled together in some small patch of grass, feeding off scraps amongst the ruins of our EFL ravaged home. If Karma be a thing, then surely our coffers overfloweth.

I think there is at least a chance of getting Stretch for another season. Everton will probably want to look at him in pre-season but hopefully they will think that he needs one more full season to toughen him up before he is ready for the top level. I wonder whether there might be any chance at all of Ozoh aswell.

Eustace has been very pragmatic and I expect we will see a different style next season. We look rock solid in defence but we will need creativity in wide areas and more firepower, even with a fit Viking and if we have Brown and Yates available.

Southampton have 3 games left. Man City, Everton and Arsenal. Could they? Is it possible? Is it the hope?

Wellies

Sure thing. Today certainly feels like a reward for some very hard slogs around the country with little to feel optimistic about. It all feels worth it now, even Flaskgate.

As for that other team, I think each to their own. Tis noble to congratulate them but also noble to question things. Had we been on the receiving end of Marinakis' ill gotten fortune I'm sure I'd pass a blind eye but we weren't ...

I love the way Bommo and Villa have tried to take on Babylon by playing football. I can't stand the brand of football Forest play for the money they've spent, the 'fortunate' list of events that have helped them be where they are, that tweet about the Premier being corrupt and their masquerading as working class underdogs, when their net spend is on a par with the elite clubs.

I don't begrudge their fans fun in the sun, nice to see some new rich amongst the old, I would do the same if I was a Forest fan, yet I fear they play’dst most foully for ‘t.

Can I put in a plea for a dedicated, close-season thread for transfer rumours and so on rather than multiple and confusing entities. And would anyone be kind enough to initiate it? I think I mean View. Thank you. 🐏

A fit Ozoh that can last a season would be immense.

Hard to see a way for Kenzo in the team unless there was a compete reshuffle of the CM.

Can we resurrect Milf's old thread ??
