Wolves playing in their turquoise strip with dark blue shorts. Doherty captain.
Djiga evidently putting in a man of the match performance in the first half for Rangers 👍
No goals at half time in a spikey and at times unpleasant game. Not what you want pre season as the last thing we need is injuries. Joao Gomes being constantly fouled by Lens and two of their players picked up yellows for fouls on him.
Positives for Wolves have been Agbadou who is much more than just a defender, two superb defence splitting passes from him. And Fer Lopez looks a good player. Friendlies can be deceptive but he looks well capable of holding down a first team pass from the beginning. Good test for Wolves against a Lens team that are a good passing side
Really poor second half from Wolves. Many of their best players were taken off. One of the seniors that did stay on was Andre but after a nasty kick on the ankle that needed lengthy treatment he went off too. Lens much the better team after the break. They went ahead with a good near post cross tucked in between our central defenders. Then a second came from a long range effort that Bentley should have saved. Really well taken goal from Guedes gave some hope but soon after a quick breakaway gave Lens their third and the second for their left back.
Not much to be positive about in that half and it all ended with a bit of doom and gloom.
The reason for Semedo formally announcing his departure today became clear as he is set to join Fenerbahçe in Turkey
That starting eleven but with Arias and not Bellegarde is probably our starting line up on day one you would think.
That said, maybe Arias won't be up to speed by then they hough he shouldn't need a pre season to speak of.
I’d like to think Arias would get some game time in the coming friendlies. We’re halfway through the Brazilian season so he shouldn’t be lacking in match fitness.
Probably the starting 11 today is our first choice team bar Arias. Although not yet convinced Hoever is a better option than Rodrigo. We must get some cavalry in though. I thought Vitor looked pretty down by the end of the game tonight.
Plenty of worried voices on the mix and rightly so. This current squad is going to struggle quite clearly. Plenty of time yet and a few new signings should get us back on track.
Didn't see it personally but from what I have read the real concerns are a back up keeper, the wing backs and Munetsi is getting a lot of stick as well. Hwang of course.
Didn't think Munetsi was that bad last season, I just don't want to see him in any advanced role. Think he certainly can do a job for us.
Striking resemblances to seasons gone by, as we evidently continue to significantly weaken the starting eleven and sit on our hands.
In truth we are now left with just a hand full of players genuinely good enough to be starting PL evidently matches.
A sense of Deja Vu as we asset strip out the three best players and bring in a couple of kids
Fosun Out FFS!
"Cunha was left out of the matchday squad entirely due to 'fatigue' after he had featured in their first two friendly fixtures of the summer."
What??
Jhon Arias didn’t take part last night due to waiting for his work permit to go through. That’s happened now and he is joining the team for training for the first time today. He will then be joining them on the trip to play Girona on Sunday
Talks progressing with Roma for the transfer of Fabio. They want to initially sign him on loan with an obligation to buy next summer. Looks like the fee will be €15m
Wolves saying they are confident of making 4 signings in August. We need them.
Both wing backs a midfielder and forward the targets allegedly according to Keen.
We currently have 18 "overseas players" over 21 and that includes Fabio. If he does go, that only allows us to bring in one more overseas player. For the comments above they'll have to be HG, unless we offload the likes of Guedes, Hwang and Sasa, which to me, won't make sense.

Guedes is allegedly off this week. And like I have told you many times, we can have 50 overseas players, but we can only name the allowed amount in the final squad So if one doesn't make the cut it is what it is.
Guedes will leave. Sasa will probably have a loan. There are other contenders to make way if need be in Santiago, Hwang, Hoever. It’s not a problem
Our main problem is that we’ve just got too many crap players of various nationalities
Wolves have evidently agreed a deal to sign Moller Wolfe - good name. He is a 23 year old Norwegian left back/wing back signed from AZ Alkmaar in Holland.
Yet another one for the evidently future?
Fosun Out!
Wolfe has played over 80 games in the Norwegian top flight and 67 games in the Dutch top flight and has 12 caps for Norway
Just shy of 10 mill apparently.
Obviously the downside here is that this is our last signing according to one wily wolf.

He's played all his games as an out and out LB in a back 4 for both club and country. Played last season in the same league as Hugo Bueno. Obviously not our first choice, in a position I read a while back, that VP wanted competition for Toti. If we're sticking with a back 3, is he going to be able to play as a wing back? Not sure he's any better than what we've got.
