Such a shame that a happy occasion like the Parade has ended in tragedy for this family. I really hope the lad pulls through and can live a normal life after his recovery.

The poor lad made a mistake of judgement. Who doesn't from time to time. He is now paying for it along with suffering family and friends.

so tragic, when I was young a lad fell from a tree onto one of those metal spikes on railings.. awful, he was concur picking..
I think, the slight different angle to this is when you find out they have been drinking.. how many times on the news have we heard 'English lad falls from balcony on holiday in Spain' - not saying its not tragic... but fault has to go to the individual.
