It’s not a curse, never has been, we’ve been in 23 finals (not including the Europa) and won 15 of them - that’s not a cursed side.

There has been a fragility/weakness/mentality shift since ENIC came in, 5 of the 8 cup finals we have lost have been on their watch

Not many recently though, I wonder if an air of inevitability has creeped in recent years, just a slight but infectious and insidious thought that grows a little each time something does not quite work on the pitch.

That said, you may change that in 2 weeks, I’d really rather you didn’t, but you’ve had us this season so anything could happen. That said, I’d still have us as favorites

I dunno, I mean the in 2019 - the Quarter and Semi finals - things just kept falling in place. Regularly going to City and beating them, sometimes handsomely. There is a block with the fans but not the manager and players.

2009 we played a SAF Man United side with Ronaldo and Rooney in it - I was amazed we took it to Pens. 2015 we played Jose’s second coming of Chelsea. 2019 we played Klopps Liverpool and 2021 we played Peos City after sacking our manager 6 days before the final - we just kept hitting much better sides.

United are more or less at our level currently, we have a proper chance this time

Should be a very close game. Won’t be surprised if pens is involved. That said could easily be 5-4 to someone with our defences

What a nice thread. Was just reading sizzles article ( can't comment of course) and it's absolute madness. A chance to win a major trophy and he's screaming for the manager head. Then you have the other end of the spectrum we're sandy is ready to give him a lifetime contract win or lose. I don't really have a horse in this race so good luck to you both 😄

You’re gonna get comfortably put away vs manu, you’re not on their level, you’ve got no one with any experience of winning a ‘major’ (& I use that term loosely, given the standard of the dogshyte Europa this season) your
manager is a tactical moron & you’re generally mid at best anyway. Can’t wait for your tears, you arrogant to$$er 🍻

We need to keep momentum so I would be giving our first XI minutes between now and the final, maybe 45 mins or 30 mins in either or both games, it`s up to Ange to manage the squad so we arrive in peak condition, the last thing we want is to turn up cold like we did in the 2019 CL final.

Full strength today please, the players don’t need rest, they need momentum.

Romero has won the World Cup and the Copa America. Bentancur has won 3 Serie A titles, 2 Italian cups, 2 Argentine titles, Kulu has won the Italian cup. Tel has won the Bundesliga, Son the Asian games, Porro the Portuguese league and 2 Portuguese cups.

We’re not at Uniteds level historically, virtually no one is. However, they are currently only a point and one place above us in the league - I would say that is a pretty good indicator that we are more or less on the same level currently with both having league seasons to forget, but in two weeks one of us having a season that will eclipse Arsenals last 5 seasons

In my experience Spurs and United always get along, shared love of good attacking football and they’ve often stopped the clubs we really hate from winning things. Hopefully we bring a smile to them with our fairly regular Man City beatings.

Sandy is and always has been a massive bell - best to filter. He is our GB just more filtery

Sizz - I like Sizz and see eye to eye with him on most stuff. I just think he is worried that Ange will get excused for the league season and that will be a huge problem if he does - I’m not sure he has to worry and can just enjoy the final

Yeah, I think the Villa game is better for that, the players who played in Norway need a rest - losing VDV or Romero at this point would be a nightmare.

Clearly he wasn’t but my article is about playing the youth players Luka - Like Ajayi and Moore
