Tomatoes, there are lots of examples of incredible players who for some reason or other stuck it out for many years at clubs that were operating well below their level. Bruno substantially elevates the average quality of our squad, and if we lost him we'd have all of those goals and assists (which you breezily dismiss) to replace when we already need to generate a lot more goals in addition to the ones he provides. We need to start putting players around him who are closer to his ability level.

I always thought Sancho was rubbish when he was at Dortmund. He carried it over to PL.

We've all been around long enough to see this written. How can't do without them till we are without them. that catastrophic drop without that superstar is mostly imaginary. If you were bad with them, more often you are as without them and vice versa. Pontification of a player is the fastest way to averageness.
