That’s my point. I don’t have a great deal of faith in them either but given the choice between them or Tel, I’d ditch him in a heartbeat. I’m not even sure what it is Tel offers. He’s not even a great presser. He doesn’t score. He can barely play a simple pass. Even the assist he got the other day was meant for another player. I just think he’s a total dud. There’s barely any flashes of brilliance that suggest he’s got something. The very fact that I’d be unsure whether I’d pick him over Richy or not says absolutely everything about what it is he offers.

You do realise that while you say the league doesn't matter it very much does in that if you win Europa the cash injection you get from being in the CL will be used to offset the big loss you are going to make on the cash you would of expected to make in terms of prize money given that you've finished probably finished at least ten places lower in the league than you would of expected. End result no money again to buy decent players

Did Bournemouth need millions to finish above us? Or Brentford, Palace and I wont bother naming the multitude of other clubs who have managed with a smaller transfer budget, a lower wage bill and yet still managed to finish above us.
Would you settle for 17th every season provided we ended up with a trophy and entry into the chumps league?

Your going to lose around 40 million quid because of the poor league placing that's a big issue for a club that has said it's a sell to buy summer for recruitment.
I think we all (well most of us) get that we can win a trophy which will be amazing. Especially for those who have never witnessed that joy.

Maybe not you. But I don't get the weekly meltdowns, when a long way out the Europa was the target, wherever Spurs finished in the Prem , other than the bottom three.
Spurs are still very much on course to hit their target.

I must admit I am too disappointed with our final finishing (nearly) position which in terms of performance is bordering on calamitous. Whils I have been a big supporter of Ange, I posted recently that he might be punching above his weight and now finding it difficult.
We have done well to still be in a position to rescue the season but most likely not his job.
The major bonuses from winning the EL will be entry into the CL and an ability to attract players who might otherwise not want to miss out on playing in European competitions.

The fact that the management are spinning up a revised season target just to say we wanted CL and trophy, but league isntt important is out of order for those fans who have paid up season tickets expecting Spurs showing commitment and play to win and not save up for cups that is the pain point.
How was son when he came on? I turned over at HT to el clasico, but hopefully son can get up to speed and start in bilbao. Tel is absolutely shocking, been really really underwhelmed by him

You're in same boat as United though. We feel same way.
Only difference is we aren't used to it as much as you lot and we do still win trophies despite being nowhere near the team we once were.

You do realise that while you say the league doesn't matter it very much does in that if you win Europa the cash injection you get from being in the CL will be used to offset the big loss you are going to make on the cash you would of expected to make in terms of prize money given that you've finished probably finished at least ten places lower in the league than you would of expected. End result no money again to buy decent players

Maybe not you. But I don't get the weekly meltdowns, when a long way out the Europa was the target, wherever Spurs finished in the Prem , other than the bottom three.
Spurs are still very much on course to hit their target.

Great you have changed the club I love and have supported forever into a monopoly game where money is the only factor.
Did Bournemouth need millions to finish above us? Or Brentford, Palace and I wont bother naming the multitude of other clubs who have managed with a smaller transfer budget, a lower wage bill and yet still managed to finish above us.
Would you settle for 17th every season provided we ended up with a trophy and entry into the chumps league?

I must admit I am too disappointed with our final finishing (nearly) position which in terms of performance is bordering on calamitous. Whils I have been a big supporter of Ange, I posted recently that he might be punching above his weight and now finding it difficult.
We have done well to still be in a position to rescue the season but most likely not his job.
The major bonuses from winning the EL will be entry into the CL and an ability to attract players who might otherwise not want to miss out on playing in European competitions.

The fact that the management are spinning up a revised season target just to say we wanted CL and trophy, but league isntt important is out of order for those fans who have paid up season tickets expecting Spurs showing commitment and play to win and not save up for cups that is the pain point.
