Series two of the Eric TenHag show ended with a trophy and an 8th place finish in the league. Season three was a horror show. Seems to me renewing the Big Ange show for a third season risks a similar outcome.

I couldn’t stand the sight if Ange and honestly think some of his tactics this season have been as baffling as they were incompetent m.
But after the other night, even I’ve softened a bit. As usual it al depends on what our supreme leader thinks is best. Which is usually the opposite of what is ACTUALLY best,

How will season 3 be better? In terms of trophy success, the only trophies on paper bigger than the Europa are the CL and the PL and we won't win either of those. I guess a higher finish in the league and an FA Cup win would be better than this season but we may have to play tougher teams in the FA Cup to win it.

My feeling is that if he stays he'll be gone soon into the season as I don't expect league results to improve that much. I guess about the same as this season's start which I think should earn him the sack.

Always worth noting, if he does go, players like Romero and Bentancur might up sticks as well. Might need another rebuild. I've seen Athletico want both.
Either way, I am at peace with both scenerios but I want more success!

Romero could just as easily go if Ange stays. He wants to play in Spain and for a big amount from Atletico I won't mind if we sell.
Basically if Ange stays, we'll need to see the sort of form we haven't seen for 2 years in order for him not to be removed. I can't see it myself as those first 10 games I now see retrospectively as us sort of taking the league by surprise with Ange's new style, which the league since got used to and found ways to nullify.

Al the criticism he’s had has been warranted, he needs to grow a thicker skin.
