Absolutely spot on. Trophies is what football is all about. Just the modern nonsense about top four and finishing 2nd like is where it is at. It seriously isn't.

The win on Wednesday has given Spurs fans something to crow about. No more trophy Dodgers jibes, Spursy nonsense. Going all giddy over finishing 2nd. Wednesday has given Spurs fans their best few days since 2008 and before.

It's what football is all about.

This might sound funny, but it potentially feels even better because your league form has been so bad.

Just as in the opposite way, for say a United fan during their peak it wouldn't feel so special after the umpteenth trophies.

totally agree. The euphoria in that stadium at the live screening when that whistle went will never be beaten. You don't get that coming top 4. It helped that we waited so long, but Tottenham high road and the stadium was in full blown party atmosphere, Was fantastic

It'll be interesting to see the reaction on here should we lose the Brighton game by a big margin and make it 22 losses. I know fans say they don't care but believe me a 4-0 loss or something is going to sour the feeling in fans even just a little. It'll give them food for thought anyway.

On the contrary, if it goes against form and is a good win, then Ange staying will look more preferable.

Football, and life, is all about experiences. Things you can look back on and say “I was there”
You don’t get that from top 5 finishes unless you finish 1st.

Winning a trophy this year is great but you have to qualify to win.
Don't think you'll win the CL this year and with no drop into the Europa Ange will have to do a bit better than 17th .
