Agreed. Wahl's justified that a Conference League trophy is more valuable than a CL semi final, and since it's at least as valuable as a CL final, it must be almost as valuable as a CL trophy.

It's clear then that Liverpool made a strategic error by not placing themselves in the Conference League qualifiying positions between 2021 and 2024. Particularly in the years they were well off winning the title.

If Klopp had the foresight to plan strategy according to Wahl's ranking system they could have had several more succesful seasons, several more European trophies, and the accolade of being the club that's won the most Conference titles. They could have also prevented Chelsea from having the bragging rights of winning all five European club trophies, and being only a few European trophies away from surpassing them.

£12.9 million for a CL semi, but the £100k league cup means you've had a more successful season, so it's better to focus on the league cup, or qualify for the conference than the CL.

Once you've reached the Semi of the CL you obviously have a greater chance of winning it since there's only 2 games to win.
