We are being managed by an amateur, who refuses to be tactically flexible, then falls out with all our players, and ends up wanting to sell them.
-------------------------------------------------------
Amorim has made a lot of tactical changes and experiments already at United. He won't compromise on his basic principles, and he hasn't changed having three at the back. Remember that the last guy we sacked came in with a defined system, but then realised he'd lose too many points in the short term while trying to teach the players, so he leant back into the strengths of the squad and as a result he couldn't raise our ceiling and he left the team in just as bad a place as Solskjaer-Rangnick had. Personally, the last thing I want is a manager who will get *this* squad to do what it finds easiest without finally teaching them to play modern, dominant football. I'm sick of 12 years of short-termism. Sick of the laziness of thinking there's a short cut to being good again. There isn't.
As for falling out with players, I don't think Amorim fell out with Rashford. He was ruthless about a player whose head clearly hadn't been in the right place for a year, who the Board viewed as a problematic case of high wages with poor output and a priority for shipping out, and who was obviously bad for the culture. As for Garnacho, he's another player who the Board signalled as long ago as January that they'd like to cash in on. He's evidently not been great for the culture of togetherness, but Amorim has waited until the last game of the season before swinging the axe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His tactics aren’t working though. And not compromising on his three at the back system means he is being tactically inflexible.
Sorry mate, but it is not “short term-ism”, to look at a squad of players (for over half a season, and in 4 competitions), realise the squad is not set up for his preferred formation, and to be flexible with that to achieve better results. That to me would indicate he knows how to effectively manage the resources available to him.
Maybe you’re right and this kamikaze style of management he has brought, where the squad is all wrong and formation / tactics are correct, is going to pay off in the long term.
However I’ve been going to OT all season long, and I would say the eye test, and the results we have achieved this season, say otherwise.
And selling our best player, and reinforcing that system, with my concerns with this manager, combined with Uniteds recruitment, sorry but it’s just not going to work. And time will show that now.

I’ve always said our over reliance on Bruno and Rashford was holding us back from progressing as a team over the years, if we do get £100m bite their hands off and invest in more players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We do certainly need to spread the goals out a bit and be less reliant on one player. It feels a bit harsh on Bruno, but I do think its the case. Its kind of the same as when Ronaldo returned. He played well as an individual, but his presence was detrimental to the team as a whole.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
£100m buys one good player, one promising youngster these days.
They'd be replacing our only player who consistently produced numbers you don't really see from a player of his ilk.
Would I prefer an Ugarte and a Dorgu or a Bruno? I know what I'm picking 7 days a week.

Oh yeah didn’t think of that.
The huge angle here that everyone seems to be missing is maybe Bruno has just had enough and wants out?
He's not going to be playing CL football again for this club now realistically as I can't see us finishing top 5 next year either. We'd be lucky to finish top 10. So what's left for him?
I'd seriously think about taking that crazy money too in his position. He's got nothing left to prove and he's leaving behind a team that is years away from getting back to where it should be. Years he doesn't have in his career really.
I'd wish him well. Been a very good player for us in a truly awful era for the club. A £40m profit on a player who has been here 6 years is just something we don't do either.

Probably.
Could be fitness with Mantato; I haven’t checked.
I like Mantato, but for me, Kamason is potentially more of an Amorim (PL) player: a bit stockier, more powerful, aggressive, works his absolute bollox off.
Mantato can also drive with the ball, can come inside, has the pace and the feet; but I wonder if he’s quite there physically and mentally yet?
After 'productive talks' with Bruno Fernandes' agent, Al Hilal are prepared to make a first offer of €100m (£84.1m) to Manchester United for the player, who can earn £700k/week if he agrees to the move.
The offer will be withdrawn in seven days.
