Tbh he was invisible until the goal. His finishing is mint but he isn’t as fast thinking as he was. You expect the pace and cardio to drop but I was shocked how much he hesitated on the ball.
Crazy how dedicated he is and how much hard works involved to be able to even be on that pitch at his age but do Portugal really have no young strikers?
Makes me wonder who will ever replace Kane. He better start taking whatever protein shakes Ron’s having 😂

I do believe he should call it a day!
At his age, he is about moments now. His body can look great, but 40 is 40. No one can defeat Father Time.
Portugal have however beaten Spain with him up front, so who am I to question Martinez.
That chance he scored, a younger striker like Rasmus would’ve been there wrestling.

I actually believe he should stay and try to get 1000 now that it’s close.
He should imo be saying to Martinez that he should be an impact sub in the next WC rather than a guarantee starter but not sure he has it in his nature to do that.

Yeah he does hesitate when on the ball.
I feel his pain, I bet he's thinking 10 or so years ago and you'd be on you're arsssssse but my legs don't have the acceleration in them anymore, and then he questions himself and just ends up giving the ball to someone younger.
You can't fault his movement in the box though, he is still absolutely class and better than pretty much every other striker around.
There were times yesterday where he was pressing on his own and his team mates were quite literally stood still. Was around the 60th min mark if memory serves.

Countless times. He was chasing and pressing. But we were told he does not like pressing. I have never seen Ronaldo accused of walking.
