We've finally spend the Coutinho money

Just remember if we pay the full 150m it would mean he won Ballon For and we won the league and CL. Win win.

He must be good. But honestly I've never heard of him, let alone see him play.
That was the same for Antony as well for us.

He's either going to be sensational or flop of the season. There is no in-between really when you're paying those figures.

Too often we've seen these players who move for silly fees fail to live up to the transfer fee.

Coutinho, Dembele, Griezmann, Hazard, Pogba, Grealish, Enzo, Neymar (PSG), João Felix, Antony, Nunez, Sancho etc

Think you are right.

But in that list of players I'd only really put Neymar as exactly equivalent in terms of huge money, age and general high standing. And he wasn't exactly a flop but joined a bit of a mess at PSG. Wirtz will be joining a well established top team so will have every chance to succeed.

Rice cost more than Jake.

Those are all euros so depends on the exchange rate at the time. Arteta out here manipulating financial markets

Looks like Romano has jumped the gun a bit but fully expect this transfer to go through.

I’m absolutely made up, I think Wirtz is a superb footballer who gives us something that we don’t have and can play multiple positions.

Probably the best available player in the world this summer.

More than happy with Cherki, looking forward to comparing his progress with Wirtz this season.

Yeah Cherki has wonderful technique, great price too.

But he's got 13 assists which is just as good

Foden, B Silva, Greeleash and Cherki in and around the opposition box should be something to look forward too

Can't see Jake being there next season.

I'd love to know what he's done for Pep to make him an outcast.
