What about Malaysian Airlines.
After flight MH370 wasn't another of their planes shot down over Ukraine by a missile?

When it's your time. It's your time. You can't escape fate. Safe flight.
ask the pilot too knot fly over Ukraine
I'm flying on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Thursday. I'm still going. I'm far more likely to get injured/killed on my way to Manchester Airport.
I'm flying out on a B787 tomorrow.
I agree the disaster in India is a bit off putting but there are over 1,000 of these aircraft in operation that have been flying millions of people to their destinations for years without incident.

Some great beaches that part of the island
Looks like a freak accident. Reputation of the plane was exemplary, experienced pilot.
The only complaints was lack of cleanliness of the interior of the plane which Air India has a reputation for.
to the people who died.

That was probably the Boeing 737 MAX
Over 200 dead and 1 survivor.
I think it's obvious who is to blame....
Mr Glass.
Seemed a bit dodgy and unsettling how Modi was hovering over the survivor in hospital.
Especially after there are reports he heard an "explosion" before the flight crashed.
Conspiracy overdrive or not, apparently there was a high ranking govt official listed as a passenger who was apparently not exactly popular with certain high standing people in India...
Which is why, now they have the recorder box, we need an immediate announcement if the crash was caused by pilot error or the aircraft going turtle.
Both Air India and Boeing each not keen of one of these outcomes, for obvious reasons, and will do their best to deflect and delay it.
On the video the plane was pretty silent as it descended. Didnt sound like much power/thrust at all for a heavy aircraft at take off. The bang he heard 30 secs into flight was probably the thing crashing.
Your safer now than you were before, and it was already the safest form of travel. They will be scrutinizing every commercial flight even closer.
Boeing reputation is in the mud though, greed and dishonesty has taken over a company who was reknown for its perfectionism.
From what I've read it looks like an issue with the flaps or engine failure.

Nope boeing and the us government are extremely corrupt Spotlight On Whistleblower's Boeing Safety Claims After Air India Crash https://share.google/iT8uvvV9uFrgWLLkF
The early indicators seem to be something has caused a catastrophic failure - you’d think it very unlikely a pilot with that amount of flying experience would make a basic error with the flaps. The survivor has said the problem started seconds after take off, the plane appeared to lose power completely followed by a loud bang.
Even the blackbox recovery providing detailed hard evidence of what happened won’t stop the countless moron conspiracy theorists combing through the passengers lists in an effort to prove there was something far more sinister at play

Very interesting
Boeing have designed some great aircraft over the years but their recent record in regard to contruction shortcuts/safety has been appalling.
There is video from that plane on the previous flight with a guy saying the power kept going, AC, tv etc. Dunno how true that is.
Anyway, would be more concerned about flying over all the war zones and the detouring around you will likely have to do.
Ukraine, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Israel, it is getting to be an iron wall of missiles flying back and forth for anyone heading east.
