I think the story about Solomon getting a chance to prove himself at Spurs is just PR. Suspect we haven't shown any serious interest in signing permanently and this is spin from their end to not put off other potential buyers.

I will lose very little sleep over it.

I heard from a very good source last night (who knows a doctor involved with LUFC and Solomon) that after being quizzed about his fitness and previous injury the club decided against a permanent deal. Not worth the risk evidently.
Maybe he will end up back here on loan again? Who knows?
If true, at least it shows we are not prepared to risk a player who is injury prone - especially if they have an injury that could reappear.
We can’t afford any passengers this next season.

I also don’t think it made sense to be spending over £15m on him. We have higher priority positions that need fixing and there’s not much evidence than he can perform at a high level in the Premier League. As good as he was for us last season I didn’t think it would translate against better & quicker defenders.
Never expected us to make a serious effort to sign him.
