Supposedly we're after Pierce Charles.
NI international, Sheff Wed keeper. Another with supposedly bags of potential.
The worry is we're signing lots of players that could be really good soon and not many that are really good now. I suppose it's that stage of the rebuild but it wouldn't hurt to look outside the English lower leagues and bring in some European ready players.
These guys might be to be fair but not all of them will be ready for an immediate step up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Celtic are the obvious comparison for us given that’s who we need to beat, they spent big on the likes of Idah and Engels and neither really improve them. Their best players were and are the likes of O’Riley, Hatate, Maeda, CCV etc all who were in that might be ready to improve the team category.
Obviously would love if there’s any cheaper players elsewhere that would improve us, but don’t think that really exists when you see the fees Scandinavian, Czech teams etc are getting

Last week, in response to our lack of incoming activity, I (half)joked that Pistol was probably spending every waking hour trying to sell Maeda while his stock’s at its highest. Now I read this in today’s Beeb gossip …
“Celtic are interested in signing 22-year-old Ivorian striker Richard Kone from Wycombe Wanderers as a potential replacement for Daizen Maeda, but the English club could demand £7m, a figure the Scottish champions are hesitant to meet unless the Japan forward's transfer generates substantial funds. (TeamTalk)“
Seriously?!! Appreciate we have a model, but feck me we appear to be back in full self-sabotage mode at the moment. IF we’re selling Maeda, it needed to be done weeks ago, and a replacement already signed … although how the feck we’d replace his work rate I’ve no idea. Jeez, we haven’t even signed Jota’s replacement yet!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate, seriously, teamtalk is a load of clickbait nonsense, don't be getting your suds levels up reading anything from it.

Fair enough re the source, but you don’t think it’s possible we cash in on Maeda this window? I can absolutely see it. Never mind his goal return last season, he’s pretty much the only cant in our front 6 that puts in a defensive shift.

And presumably better than his ex with corners.
They've not got goalie gloves that can accommodate his sausage fingers.
Ridvan left out of the European squad.

Nope, honestly think Maeda and Hatate will be here for another year at least, have zero worries on this at all. They are going to be sold now I have said this aren't they....

I don't think they have any plans, apart from planning in having more money, which in turn would make your point stand on Hatate and Maeda 😭
IF we sold Maeda AND Hatate, who would that leave of proven quality? …

Aye, really don’t see Yamada as any more than yet another cut price squad filler, at best. Guy is 25, with a career scoring record of about 1 in 4 … but significantly, a measly 2 goals in 21 appearances in their current campaign. I mean he just screams quality.
