Agree.

Sunderland signed that Mo Sideke player were linked to early in the window. 17 mil.

Petrovic would have been my number one choice for a keeper. Saw us linked eith Milinkovic-Savic and I would happily take him. Wouldn't have to worry about defending corners ever again.

Looks like Sadiki to Sunderland for 20 mill is true.
Le Bris obviously has some appeal to him when it
comes to prospective signings.

Time will tell if they're getting this window right or not. One thing's for sure, they're giving it an ambitious go.

Time will also tell if our 'Big Lad FC' approach keeps
us up. Two very different approaches. Fascinating.

Other thing is, Sunderland are moving a lot faster than us. They're identifying players and signing them.

Farke has said he wants the bulk of his signings in by
July 7th. Recruitment team might need to giddy up.

And the 49ers do spring surprises (Nmecha/Tarzan).

However, Bijol was correct. Muniz is correct.
Diarra was correct. Stach and Gudmundssen also
look to be correct. Pope was too.

It’s not all BS.

It's important at this stage to keep faith with what the 49ers are doing. Currently lots of screaming clickbait headlines about Sunderland "beating" us to "yet another" signing.

We've signed two good strong centre-halves which was a must.

Four to go for me. Keeper, striker, defensive midfielder & nunber 10. Wouldn't be surprised to see another winger arrive but would love to see Ramazani get a decent chance.

Le Bris has pulled off an amazing success. He's got that enigmatic quality Bielsa had. He's attracting some real quality and at this rate, I think they are a good bet to stay up. Tactically, he is very astute. He just looks like a Premier League coach.

Not so sure. They only went up because Wilder's men collapsed at Wembley. Time will tell.

I think Sunderland are putting a lot of eggs in the basket of good players who have never played at this level of football. Ipswich tried that last year and we saw how that went. They already had a young squad, 22 points behind us or whatever. Big ask for more youth to propel that on.

I would have loved to bring that ‘young’ talent to Elland Road. There is still time for them to bring in some experience as well, but what a star to their window.

I would too. I think we have more experience in the side and can cover more for that kind of signing. That said, I don't think missing out on Diarra and Sadiki is the end of the world at the moment.

Dont think personally we have 'lost' any players to Sunderland. Only credible kink was Diarra which we bid for but Sunderlabnd paid an obscene amount and got hi. Jurys out whether he will be worth 30m. Its a huge amount for a L1 player.

30m would have been a huge chuck of our budget. They sold Bellingham for a lot of money so could possibly afford it.

I don't believe we were interested in any other signing they have made.

Agree with that.

I can see Sunderland going out and playing really
good to watch football. But leave themselves open
to weekly batterings. They could be the opposition
fans darlings. Darlings who do an Ipswich.

I admit, the 'Big Lad FC' approach might not give
us the most exciting football. But it might just work.

If we can get a few more signings over the line
before July 7th, we'll be in a good spot. I'm starting
to get obsessed with Anton Stach. He could be a
Batty-on steroids tackling machine. Cruncher.

We still need LB, Keeper, Striker, LW, minimum.

Diarra we bid for. They got. Sediki we were
interested in. They got him. And we were
interested in Petrovic. Looks like they got him.
If you believe a whole host of people who got
Diarra and Bijol right also.

Sediki and Petrovic may well have been just
on lists of players we identified as 'yeah, he's
not bad' - I do think we have other options
we liked more. I also don't think 'we lost out'
to Sunderland. However, fact remains they
have identified who they want and they're
getting those players in quicker than we're
getting ours in at the moment.
