A little red is totally unacceptable.
We also wore red in the 1971 fairs cup final 1st leg, i would say it was our change kit until the yellow came along.
Plenty of images on the net of players wearing red,
"A little red is totally unacceptable."
Promotion, does that mean you'd be happy with a lot of red?..

Some great designs mixed with complete "no dads" in there.
The RB shirts are maybe 5% red, with the bulls. Can't see the issue personally. Willing to bet i see 1000s at the Everton game - punters will dictate whether it's a disaster or not.

According to that link, last seasons kit also had the REDbull logo on the front, so why the uproar on here about the pretty much identical looking shirt for the coming season?
The clubs been doing so well with the kits recently. There's the usual group of fans who get really annoyed about one of them.
But that's how it should be. We need to be attractive to more fans than just grumpy old men. And while that'smthe vast majority on here, it is good to be aware that this isn't everyone.
A kit that the kids love is probably the most important. Those are the people we really need wearing the kits and becoming stuck with the club before they realise the misery it will cause for the rest of their lives.
And kids are stupid, they like things like the blue cheese kit. So we need to have them.
Similar goes for the lasses that support the club.
And then there is still kits for those that want nostalgia.
And they have to keep the sponsor happy too.
So get over yourself, and buy the second or third kit if this ones not for you.
Last seasons yellow top had no red, so painful for the poor bulls, it makes me wonder how things'll be if Red Bull took over, they have a habit of changing kits without fans approval!..
Aww-right, Ladies and Gentlemen.
Les’ settle down now. I’ve got some great news to
tell yer this mawnin’ and we can’t wait to tell yer, so
we gotta get down to business.
Ya’all can get on the soccer forums to one another,
but right now we’ve gotta get on with it, folks.
Gee whiz…here we go then…we’re gonna rename
Elland Road ‘The 4th July Independent stadium’ and
we’ve successfully negotiated a 999 year lease….
‘Yeah Baby!!’
Our franchise will now include changing the strip to
Red shirts and Yellow shorts, with a big 49 on the
back!
Also our partners Red Bull will be selling their world
famous drinks, and X-Large beef burgers, X-large
Hamburgers and all American Kentucky fried chicken,
yummy!
Guys, we love your soccer…we love Leeds’ history,
culture and when we visit the ‘4th July Independent
Stadium’ we hope ya’ll come and say ‘hiya’
Such good folks here in your Yorkshire, 100%
We know ya’ll enjoy the Americanisation of Leeds
United…it’s what you’re waiting for ‘Yeah Baby!’
NJS - well Promo don't like the color, he'll just throw the shirt in the trash, or on the side walk next to his LUFC red stripe pants !
lets make America great again
Some on here appear to like the colour red, shirt sales proved a different point. Couldn't get enough of the yellow shirt, I wonder why ?

Flawed example. Fans have been crying out for a yellow shirt for years, and by the time the home shirt was released, it had already been leaked away would be yellow. Fans saved their money for that reason, not because of a splash of red.
Sure there are some who refuse to wear any semblance of red because of the association. Just seems very childish to me.
Bit of an update from a conversation i had at the weekend re: ins and outs.
Struggling on the keeper front at the moment, the ones we tried for havent materialised, we are trying for Pope but so are others, we offered £28m all in fees etc for diarra, Sunderland offered £40m, it was said to me if hes that good why didnt chelsea take him, LB,CM and CF main priorities.
Apparently we are changing the way we play hence the signing of large units as they think thats the best chance of staying up, was told it wont be pretty i did say playing last last season with the full backs thinking they are Arthur Graham and Carl Harris might not have been pretty against the top sides, unfortunately we are operating in a totally different market place to the majority of sides so will need a bit of luck.
I think it's seemed pretty obvious from how Farke spoke at the end of the season about looking at the make up of promoted sides that survived and the requirement to add physicality that we were going down this route to some degree. Those sides who stuck to their footballing principles typically got plaudits and sympathy as they went back down.
I wasn't sure how far we would take it, but if we're all in and morph from Barcelona to stoke over the summer… we’ll see if DF can do pulis as well as he did pep.
Make America great again, I'd think we're one of many that could do a better job than the bod that thinks he's doing it!..
Don, Graham and Harris, I loved watching them tearing up the wings back in their day!..
Basically Don, rumoured linked players are pretty much
Spot on links. Leaks coming from other clubs. Not us.

Fair comment regarding Diarra. I’m not pretending to have seen much of him play but sounded promising, the club have to set a price though and at £40m that should be a player Chelsea would want, they sign everyone else.
We appear to be struggling to sign the players for the 3 positions we are most desperate for. striker, AM, GK. I’m guessing this is because this is where we are rightly being most ambitious and therefore these deals will be harder to get over the line. We don’t appear to have anywhere the same level of pull as to the last time we came up with Bielsa. I know the signing didn’t work out, but we are miles off being able to attract a player with the status Rodrigo had and therefore this is going to be much harder for the 49ers.
I’m happy that we have a really clear plan and the signings are signed to fit a structure. Seemed like signings were made in isolation under Orta, best example probably Rodrigo ironically. Concerns around Farke being the best man available remain. Hes got a lot to prove. Many reasons to stick with him and hopefully proved correct.
Got a few questions for you that you or may not be able to answer;
Is he the man driving the new playing style or has that come from above?
Do we know anything about potential outgoings? Most notably Meslier, Harrison, Struijk (hopefully not going anywhere)
Have Faith, cant really answer but was told a while ago Pascal might leave, things might become a bit clearer in the next couple of weeks now clubs are back in and getting their squads together.
Chelsea comment was based on the fact they own Strasbourg so would know all about him.
Thank you.
Yeah I understood the comment about Chelsea and makes perfect sense.
He's also going to AFCON as are most of their signings so that could cause further problems.
I'm glad we haven't committed that £40m to a player in a position where we are already relatively healthy compared to CF, AM & GK.
Agree on the drop in the club’s appeal under Bielsa
As opposed to under Farke. Seems two things are happening, one we’re sticking to financial ceilings on players, which has meant we’re losing out. And second,
Farke is not an appealing coach in the Prem.
I read a comment online yesterday along the lines of
“Our signings feel very Norwich” they do. Farke moved
Himself into a greater position of sway last two seasons
At Norwich regards player signings. It didn’t go well.
Our new recruitment team are still fairly green when
It comes to the final decision on signings. Hammond
And the Spurs bloke have been the experienced heads.
I hope Farke isn’t leading this. I still reckon he’ll be
Sacked in October. Which would leave a mess for the
Next bloke in if Farke is.
