Arsenal for Madueke?

Salah is the best RW in the league but yeah I don’t think they need him. Wasn’t Nwaneri covering for him at RW? Looks like he could go on to become an amazing player. Priority signings for them should be LW and ST.

I really really hope we don't pull the trigger on this one. He'd be fine as a Norgaard or Kepa type signing if we got him cheap but £50m for him would be an absurd waste of our resources.

Valid on Salah but i always think of him as a wide forward

Hopefully it p*sses Nwaneri off and he doesn’t sign a new contract and we can nab him.

Saka best right winger

Is he even better than Bowen?

Arteta Out if Nwaneri ends up at Chelsea because of this potential signing

I agree that really don't see him being anything other than a back up for Saka, maybe he will be happy with that given that he will probably be given a substantial increase in his current 50k per week wages.

Flashes of brilliance on his day but rarely puts that together in a run of consecutive games it seems.

Also seems to be a lingering suggestion that his attitude is at times questionable.

I like his directness and willingness to take on defenders but currently (and some would say like several of our wide attacking players) lacks consistency in producing the level of performance that has shown when at his best.

Not sure he gets much more game time at Arsenal than he would with us, needs to be playing regularly imo in order to try and gain that consistency of performance.

If they really want him hope we hold out for higher fee though at least 55m or North of that with add ons.

This is a good write up, have always said he is WC if he gets a brain, certainly has the skillset. Unfortunately most the time his 2 brain cells are fighting tho, my fear is he comes good at Arsenal. Why I would rather he move abroad, cos he is still young and maturity could solve his issues.

Arsenal finally getting their Gervinho replacement.

Madueke is not worth £50m
£8m would be a more realistic offer
Not that Arsenal should be going for Madueke
Giving them £50 and funding Gittens or whoever they need.
Arsenal should concentrate on getting either Eze or Rodrygo done and forget about Chelseas dustbin

50m does seem way over the top for Madueke.

He has good days but he's not in Chelsea's top 4 attacking wide players. He's surplus to requirements, he won't make Arsenal's 11 any better.

50m to replace Reiss Nelson.

Up to us to decide the fee we will sell for ... and for other clubs to decide whether they want to pay it or not.

If Elanga is going at 55m then personally would look to ask a similar amount for Madueke, clubs have the choice to pay it or not depending on how badly they want the player.

Personally think we have so many players that we should be looking to offload before Madueke but thats just the mess the powers that be have saddled us with buying so many (unnecessary players) that we will struggle to get rid. I would say player numbers are worst than Potter era.

Also annoys the F out of me how it also impacts the youth , call me old fashioned but personally always liked to see the emphasise of the loan system utilised by giving development opportunities to our youth.

Sadly more and more our loan system is becoming increasingly nothing more than a "storage facility" for deadwood and unwanted players on high wages who we cannot shift.

Elanga’s been much better and is a consistent regular for a team that don’t want to sell. Madueke’s case is a lot different.

Output is the same and Noni's expected stats are better

Not even a big fan of Noni btw but i think Elanga's a bit mid and wont look 55m worth

will probably do ok in the Newcastle set up

Elanga has 11 goals and 20 assists since going to Forest and Madeuke has 12 and 5, not far off double in a worse team.

Elanga is average but he’s been much better in the prem of the two, especially as he’s able to actually put in performances starting regularly rather than just being a decent impact sub like Madueke.

His assists are so good because of Wood's purple patch, his expected is nowhere near that actual total

posted on 7/7/25

Its weird because overperforming xG means you are good, overperforming xA means your teammates are good

posted on 7/7/25

His xA is better as well, though.
