Saw someone on Twitter earlier mention Goncalo Ramos on a possible loan towards the end of the window. Could be a possibility.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For me (and not everyone will agree, I know), he’s done pretty well at PSG.

His numbers are decent enough given how he has been used, I like his all round game, and he’s probably a good fit for the system.

He also needs to be playing every week at this stage of his career, instead of sitting on the bench for two thirds of the season.

A bit of a gamble, but I wouldn’t mind a loan with option to buy if we can’t secure a permanent deal for one of the top drawer options.

The Moise Kean rumours I can believe, though.

Assuming Gyokeres, Osimhen, Ekitike and Aghehowa are too expensive, after that who might really be available of any serious quality? David is going to Juve. Mateta and Watkins we might also be priced out of deals for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure i can get excited about him either. Struggled badly in the PL and has had one decent season in Serie A. Not done enough for me to warrant the move and Fiorentina won't sell him on the cheap either.

Losing that EL final was always going to come back and bite us. Reality is starting to dawn on people now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Proper drama queen aren't you?

Did anyone expect all our problems to be fixed after our most dismal PL season yet?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure you understand what drama queen means then. I've made peace with it and others haven't.

As soon as we lost that final, we were starting from at
the back of the grid in terms of attracting the very elite players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Which elite players have we.missed out on far?

He might turn out to be a success, but would have been the wrong choice for United at this stage imo

We aren't really in for them as we know the answer.

Gyokeres potentially fits that description and as we know we were understandly not his priority. He wanted CL.

Osimhen apparently asking for too much in wages. CL income certainly would have helped get him.

As I said......losing that final has consequences. We have to shop at a different level to some clubs.

Cunha n Mbeumo would be a result for us too. Think we are lucky to get them both given our situation.

For his own sake I think hes made the right call going to Arsenal. Would have been a risky move coming to us given there's absolutely no guarantee we will be in the CL in 2026/27 either.

For what it's worth.....I think he's going to be a huge success for Arsenal.

I agree - and we can’t escape the fact that joining United could ruin a career currently, for whatever reason.

Joining a settled club with a manager who has a clear direction is a far better plan, regardless of CL football.

posted on 6/7/25

I dont think we have had enough harsh lessons as a club yet to fully realise how bad it's been. We have a semi bounce back season where we win a cup or finish 3rd and it papers over things a lot.

You only start learning from your mistakes when you feel the pain. Well 15th, no cups and losing a European final to a team that came 17th should probably do it.

There are consequences for years of poor planning and terrible recruitment. Sadly Ruben is going to suffer for it a lot. He probably won't get the 600m that ETH got but life isn't always fair.

Possibly but there’s question marks on both. Mbeumo Significantly outperformed his XG last season and I don’t think has hit double figures any other time. So whether that shows improvement or a lucky season, time will tell

How can you not blame Amorim?
———
Because it would make Stretford look an even bigger cuuuuunt for blaming every single thing on Ten Hag.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why is it Ruben's fault? Did be spend the 600m on the worst Utd squad in 40 years?

No he didn't did he you absolute f@nny.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You said we’d get much better as soon as ETH was sacked, but as soon as it was obvious that Amoron is much worse with the same players you completely moved the goalposts because that would mean admitting you were wrong.

posted on 6/7/25

Cunha and Mbuemo took a fair few penalties between them im sure so I would expect their output to go down a little. Bruno won't be giving away penalties as we know and nor should he.

I do think they can both out perform what Garnacho, Mount, Zirkzee, Eriksen etc offered though. I certainly hope so anyway. 🤣

So a squad that was built for ETH's formation and that he wanted personally performed ever so slightly better for him (13th) than it did for Ruben (15th). Imagine my shock.

The point your tiny brain doesn't seem to get is I dont think we'd be in that situation had Rubem had the 600m. Antony, Hojlund etc wouldn't be here that's for sure.

No guarantees of that. At all.

posted on 6/7/25

The fact you think that's a fair comparison of the two managers is the hilarious part. 🤣

Here Ruben....have ETH's players and 25m Dorgu and turn us into a good team playing a brand new formation.

Starting to see your mistake?

As I said.....Ruben was mental taking the job at the time he did. All he did was take bullets for Erik's huge errors. He couldn't do anything with the squad really given the lack of funds.

ETH fanclub needs to P*** off now. You've been categorically proved wrong and still cling on. Had he not thrown all that money away we'd have had a fighting chance still under him. He did though because he clearly wouldn't know talent if it slapped him in the face. His treatment of Amad shows you that. How could he have that lad in training everyday and not see his quality? Baffling.

Couldn’t work out how to beat spurs though could he? Final loss was on him and his bizarre choices

Very poor last season, and if I’m honest he talks a good game but hasn’t backed it up at all yet. Pretty much done exactly the opposite. I’m far from convinced by him, but also believe he should get a far crack of the whip.
