I imagine it is more reflective that every man and his dog in the PL has access to European football now.
The super league exists, most just haven't realised it is called the EPL.
It is not a lot of fun.

Yep, hence the "official" Super League being a thing.
Boiled down it's the former elite turned upper middle class of European football (compared to the PL's economic strength) attempts to restore their position at even greater expense to the 99% of other clubs on the continent who are already suffering deeply.
If the Premier League wasn't as strong as it is, the Super League concept wouldn't have as much traction as it does outside of England.

Much prefer it in american sports where team building and smart ownership & decisions in the front office is actually impacted on the court.

Saw a list of signings yesterday, quite funny really, the prem just getting mugged daft prices for mediocre players.
