Sounds like we've got the deal in a bucket, sorry I mean in the bag.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bargain, too!
------------------------------------------------------------
He's poultry in motion looking at the you tube clips
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Played really well against Brest in one of his early games for Lille.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On the wing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, in midfield. Why would he be on the wing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Winging it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha!
Baleba deal not happening. All the briefs coming out now that a deal wont happen this year. Brighton manager just said hes incredibly confident hes going nowhere this window too during his press conference.
Ah well it was fun to dream. 😒
Without a proper CDM there's no way this team can finish top 6. Ugarte and Casemiro just arent it.
I think we’ll make a midfield signing still, and try and get the buy in from Baleba to sign for us next summer.
Hjulmand is being touted now

I think this potential deal still has legs. Brighton stated they weren't selling Caicedo a few years ago too and sold him a week later.
Some have moaned about Amorim stating he wants rid of players so surely a manager stating he wants to keep a player should be the right play from him for now.
If they do sell all the manager needs to do is then state the offer was too good to turn down.
Isn't it just the MEN that's pushing the story the transfer is dead anyway?
I don’t think this one is dead until the window closes, but if we’re planning to at least bring in some kind of athletic midfielder if we can’t get Baleba till next year, then I guess we need to reach a point of moving on.
I think an official bid will go in as soon as we’ve got some sales at least confirmed.

I've no idea. Had barely heard of Balebe before this transfer window, I suspect it's the same for most football fans who suddenly seem to be experts.
Other than driving through the midfield, I'm unsure what makes him a £100m player....?

He's not a 100m player but united are mugs and overpay for everything.
City would probably get him for 30-40 mill
We keep saying how one CM could solve a lot. I don't know how good Baleba could be, or anyone else touted, but we seem to be simplifying it too much by saying get Baleba and it should be ok.
I genuinely think we can improve overall in terms of performance etc and that is what will give us the biggest shift up the table. the issue of Bruno in CM will always be an issue, so it's case of whether we can overcome that in enough games, combined with if Bruno can be more disciplined there. And of course can our front 3 hit the ground running and give us a significant goal tally.
I am not too bothered about getting Baleba in if i am honest. It feels very risky at the expected fee and sometimes you just have to look for an alternative.
Manchester United are lining up a £50m deal for Sporting and Denmark midfielder Morten Hjulmand, 26, if they miss out on Brighton's 21-year-old Cameroon international Carlos Baleba.
