Agree with you. I've always liked Hamer. I know Don
reckons he could beat him in a 100 m sprint and that
he thinks he's fatter than him. But, I'd go for GH.

Palace look like they might lose Eze, Guehi, and Wharton this window. That'll generate a ton of money.
Which they can then throw at Leicester and EL-K
I'm not sure we can match. Waste of time going for
him now. Go for Gus.

I know who I'd rather have but he's not coming. I think Hamer would improve our team and push Aaronson one step closer to the door.

Seems like the left wing forward we're after will be Noah Okafor of AC Milan. He faced us in the friendly in Ireland. Seems as though Khannouss will replace Eze at Palace.

If we are going 3 central midfielders and not playing a 10 there is very little point signing either

El Khannous is a 10 that can start out wide. I don't think that applies to Hamer, so I don't see the point in signing him, certainly not as a replacement for the possible El Khannous signing.

Okafor seems a much more likely alternative.

If we can eventually end the Hamer odyssey and actually sign him, we should👍.

And when 3 central midfielders doesn't work what happens?

To what extent as a player that can attack down the line with any pace? Concerned by the lack of pace in the team. Outside of James and maybe Gnonto, I'm worried we will be quite static.

Both improve us at right now.

Prefer El Khannouss.

Don't expect us to sign either.

Not impressed with Okafor, and getting worried about who we will have as attacking options at the start of September

Not impressed with Okafor. Feels like we are trying to do it on the cheap. Has a big injury record like Calvert-Lewin. Its a lot of 'hope he turns it around' about him and CL. Then again Solomon was the same and look how that turned out last season.

Romano reporting it

"Leeds United are close to signing Noah Okafor from AC Milan! Understand proposal worth over €20m has been submitted today, contract until June 2029 plus option until 2030. Final green light up to Okafor then deal can be done, with #LUFC coach Daniel Farke pushing a lot."

I think Farke said he wanted 2 so I expect another signing after this.

My worry is - what happens if all these injury prone players get injured? We’ll only have half a team which will then become full of subs who are deemed not good enough to be in the starting 11! I really hope our medical team have magical healing powers because it looks like they could be quite busy!

Okafor consistently misses around a third of the season through injury. He’s high risk at the money they’re talking, I guess the appeal is he can also play 9. Oh and he’s big of course and we know that’s important.

Hamer prefers to play from the left. He’s a play maker not a winger… we get most of our width from fullbacks anyway. He’s at his best given licence to roam so not sure how he fits in terms of positional responsibility. Gifted footballer though and offers something we don’t have in the squad.

Why are we so keen on signing crocked players?
Do we have massive faith in our medical team to
work wonders? Or are we enamoured by potential
upside of players if they can stay injury free?

It felt like we had a plan earlier this summer. Now,
I'm not so sure we do. Unless we're crocks r us.

Think it just says where we are at Bats. Players with poorer injury players are often more available, less in demand from other clubs and cheaper than they otherwise would be.

Got to say I am worried that we aren't going to sign the difference maker we need.

Would love us to make a huge statement with another attackign player that will be one of the best in the bottom half.
Not easy I know but Paixao was obviously one, we really need to make another happen.
I had a lot of confidence in the club to do it, and I hope something is happening behind closed doors, but it's turned to hope rather than expectation now.

Crocked players are cheaper, already spent loads on defenders and midfielders that we possibly didn't need.
Pot not full for those key goal scorers

I'm starting to think DCL is the club's answer to the
striker question. Based on I think he's been given the
coveted #9 shirt. Could be wrong, but like Perri and
the #1 shirt, Farke seems to telegraph his intent.

Agree cant see us signing another striker. Maybe another winger/10 after Okafor and thats it. Seems like a poor window in an attacking sense

Kind of feels like one of those fireworks that promises
a lot on the box lid. You light it and it takes off in a blaze
of glory. Everyone's giddy, ready for the big explosion
of light and color. But it misfires in a pop. Only gets
25 foot in the air. Then lands in your neighbours yard.

Everyone just stares at the box and says: "Fck."

I keep reading about this beast of a player, Christiano Uche, that is available for about £20 million from Getaffe and is like a younger Yaha Toure and I'm amazed no one has come in for him apart from us apparently and now Brentford.
He can play all across the midfield excellent in 10 role or wide on either flank so I'm hoping Leeds get this lad before the window shuts ahead of Brentford as they look like a hot contender for the bottom 3 already.
