Hope any goal celebrations are inventive and don't just use a common dab

League cup never matters.

I know things aren't great but people are getting far too worked up after 2 games where we narrowly lost to one of the top 2 teams in the league and got a draw away at a decent mid table side. Things will improve and we have a brand spanking new striker who we need to get settled, let's give it a few games before we all start crying.

Agreed. We have performed no worse than Liverpool so far this season IMO yet they have six points. The difference being clinical at key points makes.

It's just the usual reacting from game to game, even though at the start we will say that we will be patient and see how things are at least a handful of games in.

Hopefully Sesko will be starting soon, the front 3 will get to gel a bit better and I would like to see Mainoo get a bit of a run.

There are already signs in the opening 2 games that things are better, of course we want more, and hopefully on this improving journey the points will come also.

I'm still worried about midfield and have been banging on about it all summer. Would be good if we can work out something there in the next week.

If we are to play Bruno in CM most games, we have to get a quality CM that can last 90 mins.

I just don't think the logistics are going to work for us. In an ideal world all of Sancho, Malacia, Antony and Garnacho get moved on. I am less bothered about Hojlund going, but if he does, so be it.

But these deals will probably get done by the weekend, not leaving us much time to sort out bringing in other players.

I don't have too much issue with focusing on the attack - if the deal can be done, I would rather we did it.

We all know CM and GK is where we want to focus next, but I have resigned myself to the fact it won't be in this window. But as badly as we want changes to be made, it may turn out better not to get them done all in one go.

If United llike Lpool had 6 points from 2 games playing the way we have done.... ok to good vs arsenal and terrible vs Fulham....there wouldnt be an issue at all.

But we dont.

It's a bit of a stretch... We've played as well as Liverpool with the exception of 6 or so goals.

I was more pointing out Liverpool haven't played all that well either but they've still managed six points and seven goals!

Scoring does change the narrative around things even though there was a drop off second half v Fulham, of course.

This. I can't think of anyone on this forum who believed we would fix all the massive holes and quality/physicality issues in our squad by the end of this window. I can't think of anyone who seriously thought finishing in the CL places would be anything more than a remote possibility if all stars aligned. Most people would have agreed that an entirely new front three would take time to gel. There's a massive disconnect between what people thought they thought and how they are reacting to two matches.

How can our xG be so low when we should have been 9 goals up in each game?

Coding error perhaps?

Crazy stat
Utd have lost 33 won 29 out the last 78 premier league games..and have not shown a positive GD since the end of the 2022/23 season...how has it that for a club of that size.

So I you saying the £20 I stuck on us to win the PL at 40/1 was unwise?

We've had a positive goal difference at least a couple of times since then as we won the opening game of both the 23/24 and 24/25 seasons!
