Wolves v Everton Match Thread

I’m sure both teams will field very different starting 11s to what they sent out at the weekend. These games are ideal for giving games to squad players that haven’t had much game time so far this season. I’d be disappointed if we didn’t use this opportunity to put most if not all of our new signings in the starting 11.

Who knows what team VP will send out for this one?

Four of our new signings started on Saturday, in what was one of the worst home performances in recent memory.

I predicted a few weeks ago that all six would be benched by the end of October, might not be such an outlandish forecast after all‼️

Go for a 4-2-3-1 formation for this one and put Wolfe at LB, where he is best suited.

1-1 after extra time, Everton to win on penalties.

Best we can hope for.

Would love to see 4-2-3-1 but I don't that happening.

Given we probably won't do that then play Wolfe as LWB and Tchatchoua on the right. Doc, Agbadou, Santi in the middle..

Andre and Krejci probably in midfield. Arias, Lopez and Arokodare up front.

Oh that won't happen though. No doubt Hwang, Bellegarde and Munetsi will be seen more than is necessary.

I would largely agree with what you suggest cinci. My team in full would be;

Johnstone
Agbadou, Krejci, Toti
Tchatchoua, Andre, Joao, Wolfe
Lopez, Arias
Arokodare

I'd probably go with that except Doc for Agbadou who needs taking out of the firing line for one game at least. Good chance to try Krejci in the middle.

Was listening to the Monday night club on 5 live earlier, final subject was the bottom 3 so predictably 45 minutes on Villa, 10 minutes on west Ham and 5 on Wolves. Rory Smith surprised me by being spot on with the Wolves and West Ham situations, clubs with no identity any more no strategy other than to stay in the Premier League by hoping the promoted sides will be worse than them.

The South Bank really turned against Fosun on Saturday, which is understandable given the need to vent frustration on something but in my view is not helpful, it is largely down to Vitor now, he approved all the new signings, his coaching and team selection needs to improve , we did have a purple patch last season so he may be able to do so, but he has never stayed at any club for long time, I agree with previous comments we need a leader on the pitch Coady could get this lot going , incidentally Jeff Shi is reaching out to supporters groups, he met directly some from London Wolves recently, Fosun are trying to do the right things in my view but not always succeeding

Just seen a comment on MolMix asking how many players we would be losing to the AFCON.

Some bright spark put "Hopefully, all of them"!!

There's more........

"Munetsi might not be selected on current form?"

"Hopefully they'll let him go just to watch"

I think Jeff is trying to do the right things but he just isn’t very good at it. And the club is suffering. I suspect if we go down Fosun would give him the push because the value of their investment would collapse. So he is fighting for his future.

A good captain would help the team and I can’t believe Toti is the answer. From what we saw on Saturday I think Krejci could be. He was constantly talking and organising the players around him and I think he could make a difference operating from the position Coady used to fill.

This is where we're at?

A new signing with 2 PL starts being touted as club captain?

Just two of our new signings are deemed good enough to start in tonight’s meaningless, free hit Cup match.

You couldn’t make it up

Wolves | Johnstone, Doherty, S Bueno, Krejci, H Bueno, Bellegarde, Andre, Munetsi, Arias, Hwang, Strand Larsen.

Subs | Bentley, Hoever, R Gomes, Wolfe, Toti, Agbadou, J Gomes, Lopez, Arokodare.

posted 17 hours, 21 minutes ago

Looking at the bench - possibly 4-5 first team goals between them. Let's hope we're at leat 3 goals up by the time any of them come on.

posted 17 hours, 18 minutes ago

What's that then, 433?

good to see Larsen start , and Doherty
