The fact that you can get locked up for months on end for saying something on the internet,
Do you mean you should be allowed to encourage people to set fire to buildings and burn the occupants alive?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No you shouldn't. But should that carry the same punishment as brutally beating someone ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, prison sentences are supposed to be a deterrent and hopefully people like that hateful woman took note

It's OK lads.
Your entitled to your opinions just as I am, there is no malice here.
So I take it that you two are Labour ?
Do you agree with Kier Starmers idea about Government-issued digital ID cards ?
At first I was against it, but the more I read into it, I am starting to come around to the idea.

We know about freedom of speech, you don't have to remind us everything someone replies
I wouldn't call myself a labour supporter but I prefer them over Tories or Reform by far.
I neither agree or disagree with the IDs. Will wait to learn more about the proposal. It will cost money and I dont see demonstrations for why it's worth all the hustle and work it will take, not to mention the nrgative possibilities depending on how it is implemented.
Too early to tell for sure IMO, or perhaps it's me that hasn't looked into it properly.

I'm not reminding you about freedom of speech.
What an odd thing to come out and say.

You mention the internet like it makes a difference. If you encourage someone to commit arson knowing that there's people in the buildings, then that should be attempted murder whether its via the internet or not.

I don't disagree with the fact Lucy Connelly deserved some prison time for her actions, but that isn't attempted murder.
