Before we kicked a ball I'd have taken 4 points from our last three.

But cant help but feel we have dropped 3 points from this now its said and done.

Still, feels like a gap is starting to open up between us and the bottom three which is all we can hope for at this stage of the season

Well, here’s perhaps the most interesting stat….

Last season we scored 95 goals.

This season, we have 6 from 6 games….amd ALL 6 goals have been scored by players who have never previously scored for Leeds!!

Nmecha
DCL
Stach
Okafor
Rodon
Longstaff

Many of us will have to eat our words, as these goals are proof that the signings have met the standards required to perform at Premiership level.

My only criticism today, has been a personal bugbear which I’ve had all my life, even from playing myself.

When you have ‘earned the winning position’, you feel motivated to keep it.

There is nothing more galling than a substitute who comes on, not adjusted to the rhythm or pace and seeing all your hard work thrown away.

I truly think Farke should have Ledt those players out there for those final 5 minutes.

Turned to my dad with five minuted to go. DCL is knackered, needs replacing.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Thought we played very well

It is a common tactic to make subs at the end of games.

Sometimes they work, and other times not. But that is a chance all managers take, and as mentioned above; players are tired.

Had no subs been made, and some of those tired players made an error, criticism would have been made also.

I love the positivity Matty - I’m feeling it, too - but regarding opening a gap up between us and the bottom teams, let’s keep some perspective. With their new manager, West Ham will 100% pick things up now and Aston Villa are too good to stay down there. On the positive side, Burnley are down and Sunderland’s bubble will burst well before Xmas. If we’re still mid-table in January, let’s start dreaming the dream…

Mostly positive comments on all forums. Only complaints I've seen are those disappointed that we sat back last 10 mins and invited pressure on, plus taking DCL off right before a Bournemouth set piece, surely let him contest that before taking him off?

Looking good value to stay up atm, although West Ham and Villa will climb, so I feel its Wolves, Burnley and one more, who I genuinely can't pick out atm

posted 3 days, 9 hours ago

Villa and others, too good to stay in the drop zone?

Well time will tell, but there have been many teams that have been " too good to get relegated," that have been.

Leeds been one of them, way back then.

Two terrible goals conceded but a very good performance. Farke timing of subs killed us as much as the subs themselves.
Could easily have 11 points after 6 games but at least we look like we belong in this league.

I think we'll get better and no doubt today for me was our most impressive performance so plenty of positives and as I mentioned on the MDT I think Farke will have taken note that Fulham and Bournemouth only started to dominate the later stages of these games after Aeronson was replaced. That can't be a coincidence so remarkably I am now an Aeronson fan because I can accept although he's a clumsy facker he is extremely effective in stopping the opposition so fair play to Farke for identifying this facet of BA who if we keep him on for the 90 next week I'm quite optimistic of at least a draw and going forward reaching the mid 40 point total and surviving fairly comfortably.... I think Wolves, Burnley and Forest are in danger of the drop more than us.

Aaronson have so far, proved some of us wrong.

Great post Loadis and me too with regard to Aaronson. I was listening to the game and it seemed that every time he got the ball he lost it in some way but then I heard Law and Dorigo praise his performance in the commentary and I heard ER applauding him as he was subbed.

Disappointed, then, but very reassured that we are at least competitive. Seems like Farke's got a good thing going again this season!

Thanks for good feedbacks and comments, guys.

I am not a great poster, but I felt today that being disappointed about these results, just shows how good we have been. And that we deserved more.

And I wanted to take a diferent approach.

Cheers.

I agree completely, we thought we had won but it was snatched away in the dying minutes. Exactly the same feeling as at the end of the Fulham game. Sunderland are 3rd, I believe, but remember they were top of the Championship at the beginning of the last 2 seasons and then fell away, whereas we started slowly but got better as the seasons progressed. Fingers crossed we will get better and learn to see out games as each week goes by.

We are doing OK and I believe Farke will show all the non-believers that he can manage and compete at this level.

Sunderland have done well but they have had an easy start. They have taken full advantage of it so fair play.

Just saw the Sunderland highlights and they were extremely lucky not to lose that game. I think they will get a battering before too long.

Hope they stay up though. I like the Mackems.

Well, here is another little mini-statistic which has its place in giving us context:

By the end of this weekend, we could theoretically bee in in 13th and have played ‘5 out of 6 games’ against teams ABOVE US (1-12)

By contrast, Sunderland have played ‘5 out of 6 games’ against teams BELOW us (14-20)

The context is that we have performed well against teams who have been picking up regular points this season.

Sunderland have been picking up points against teams which have struggled since the start of the season.

Aaronson has so far looked better in the Premier League than he did in the Championship…. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤯

Morning all🌞.

So, my take on things are … yep, disappointed with the seeming loss of 2 points, but still happy with 8 points after 6 games. If we keep up that average, we’ll survive this season (which all I realistically expect).

On the game itself, I thought their keeper had a good game (says it all really) … DCL could easily have had a couple of goals and hopefully will become sharper as he gets more game time … and Bogle was badly out of position for their 2nd goal … probably positioned ready for a break-away attack if they lost the ball, but at that stage of the game, it should have been safety first. Wrong tactics there from DF.

Overall though, we’re doing ok👍.
