If Langas is still being rested as the Eust hinted,
We could maybe go for a retro 4-1-3-2 who needs a double pivot?

For the QPR game I think either Sanderson or Langas will have to go into midfield - more likely Sanderson as I think he has played there before. Sticking with five at the back would mean Baath coming back in. Just hope that Langas can last 90 or so minutes.
Generally, I thought we looked like a team in the second half, not the bunch of strangers of the first. For me the squad as at present constituted is better suited to five at the back. Johnston looks much better as a WB and Elder is perfectly capable of that role. Clarke, Sand and Lang would be a superb back three. I'm not sure of the best midfield when all are fit, maybe Ozoh, Travis and Clark. Morris with Big Pat up front. On the other hand I just wish there was a way of playing Salvesen from the start. He looked great last night. I can't see all three of him, CM and PA playing together unless CM plays in midfield. If JE insists on four at the back then I feel Nyambe should replace Johnston. And yet I also feel Brewster and CBT should play somewhere as B is so talented and CBT a genuine winger. Nice problems to have with a fully fit squad!
All this goes to show, as you will doubtless agree, is that it's a good job I'm not managing this side!

Well I may be in a minority but I would play Clark in midfield. I accept his physical limitations but I would hope his technical skill might compensate for that a bit. I thought he did OK in that role in the last 20 minutes at Oxford No matter what we do we will be weaker in midfield. I would want some help in there though with possibly Weimann or Brewster playing as a 10.
I agree re Salvesen and I would not be against Morris dropping deeper to help the midfield and the Viking leading the line with Agyemang. This supposes that Langas is fit to start in a back 3. If not then I like Wellies 4-2-3-1 suggestion

I'd be okay with the Huddz coming in on a pay as you play contract.

A Derby buddy went to the Swansea Vs QPR game last night. Called it a scouting mission on QPR.
Pointed out that they are a sluggish team with lots of heavy players. ( We will be missing Travis and Adams for this one)
Their RB, Dunne is their weakness as he's rather slow.
I'd like to see the return of the back three. Not the formation of my choice but it accommodates our better three CBs in Langas, Sanderson and Clarke. Will allow Johnston to push forward where he's more effective as a RWB and same on the other side with Elder as a LWB.
A front three of Brewster (RW) , Morris (CF) and Agyemang (LW) , with Big Pat to cause their RB a difficult night.
Central mid takes care of it self with Travis and Adams unavailable. It may be too soon but I do hope Thompson is fit enough to return

I hopeJohnston’s second half display on Tuesday will kick-start his Derby career. He has apparently suffered some.horrific abuse on social media by some moronic keyboard warriors. Yes, football players get paid a lot but he is a young man in a new job in a new place. He’s younger than both of my lads. It’s just disgusting really. He has been disappointing for me so far but there is no excuse for this sort of thing. How the hell will it make him play any better? I hope we all get behind him on Saturday. He showed in the second half on Tuesday that he can be an asset for us if given time and support.

There's a word for these type of fans. Ja606 won't let us use it. They all congregate on Tw@tter to see who can post the most ridiculous comment that's seeking to to ridicule the very player(s) they should be supporting.
I detested the social media treatment for Sanderson and Strom. Look at them now.

We call them Tourists - fans at PP who do not attend regularly but as soon as there might be a sniff of 'success' flock to PP, unable to work out how the turnstiles work, spend their time talking in a loud oafish voices on the concourses whilst paying for expensive cat wee and hold forth on their vast knowledge of DCFC, tactics and migrants.
They like to boo and cat call individual Derby players.

Sheff Wed have finally filed for administration which presumably will involve the required points deduction. No doubt there will be some Derby fans who will take pleasure in this and who will say "They mocked us when we were in the same position." Except it wasn't "they", it was a vocal minority, the same brainless minority that all clubs have like our so-called fans who seek out Johnston's social media feed in order to abuse him directly
Sheffield Wednesday are a grand old club and very similar to ourselves in lots of ways. They deserve nothing but our sympathy.

Criticism of Johnston is beyond crazy. Utterly despicable. I think there is a great player in there.
Whilst I wouldn’t wish administration on any club, the minus 12 points should come in handy in our relegation fight. 👀
