Kroenke - I will take money out of Arsenal

I believe FFP was purely aimed at clubs like Everton or Stoke who were over spending without a sugar daddy protecting the club. I don't think FFP was ever aimed at wages. If it had been they could have introduced a wage cap. UEFA had already got a derogation from EU treaty on many things such as the homegrown rule. America is the most right-wing capitalist country in the world and they have closed markets for all their professional sports. So there would have been no problem in getting exemptions from contract law. The owners would have been all for it, so would the public.

Arsene endorsed Usmanov last year. Gazidis publicly rebuked him a few months later. He must know he will be the first person fired.

I cannot think of any coherent reason for saving money. FFP rules come into force from next year so this year was the final year we could do some spending. Thats why Spurs have spent. Liverpool haven't spent. Maybe all the Americans think the Euro is going to collapse. £486m spent this summer! The new Sky deal comes into force next year so we would get even more money. Sponsorships have to be renewed in 2014 so it would have been the perfect time to win a few cups and go far in the CL. I just don't get the conservative behavior, especially when there are a lot of bargains in Spain and Italy and after we sold RVP.

It doesn't make any fiscal sense unless it is an order from Kroenke for the share price.
