It depends where you are in the Dam my little cockernay friend.....
I used to work there so know of loads of bars....
If you are in Leidseplein (best area) you could head for the square and sit in the Sky Sports bar - tellies on every wall - pool tables too.....
The Sports Bar below the Globe Hostel was our usual meeting place when I worked in the Dam.
There used to be a decent boozer next to the grasshopper, not sure if it's still there, not been to the dam in about 8 years.

Nieuwidijds Voorburgwal
An interesting area I may add.
Is the boatel still there???
I'd have thought "watersports" would be more popular in Amsterdam. I'm sure you can find something more interactive. When in Rome...
Satellite Sports Cafe in Leidseplein has all the footie on. Screens all over the place. 4 behind the bar and all showing different games at 4pm on Saturday. I'll be there as I am every weekend.
Excellent, thank you for your recommendations............not yours though Boris.
Sorry
It's hard to find a bar in the Red Light/Rembrantsplein/Leidseplein areas that's NOT showing PL football at weekends.

I actually worked at the Staadtsbank on Nieuwidijds Voorburgwal for a while, that area looks a hell of a lot different at 7,00am.

I've still got my ABN Amro credit card. The Dutch certainly know how to live dangerously.
