So wasn't I called delusional for even mentioning the word takeover yet you're happy to support this fans takeover "bid" like sheep?
----------------------

Personally I think it's an idea that wouldn't work, and I don't know anyone who supports it.

That's exactly what I was doing because I knew relegation would ultimately be inevitable under your beloved walkers starving the club
------------------------

We'd have been in the PL a lot longer than we are being under Venky's.

There's more chance of a rich overseas or even domestic owner buying the club if venkys do sell it. The Qataris proved that.
------------------------

As far as I'm aware there is no proof of that even happening apart from hearsay so you're getting worked up over nothing.

Its a fair question but when was I ever treated with fairness on here or more frequently 606?
---------------------------

Because you are a narrow-minded glory hunting sheep who follows the money and needs to learn a little thing called REALISM.

posted on 27/2/12

I need to learn realism? Why don't you tell this group to be realistic?

Your whole response is narrow minded and predictable. Mine might be predictable but at least the points are justified.

I'm not getting worked up either couldn't care less who might buy the club anymore. Just pointing out the abuse aimed at me when I never proposed anything as unrealistic as this takeover "bid."

We don't need any comments from a Gloryhunting Plastic Turncoat go on the Man City board and talk your rubbish their.

If you read above I agree that this particular bid wouldn't work and is unrealistic, but as per usual, you completely ignore that and read what you want to read.

It, however, is a lot more likely to come about than Rovers becoming the richest club in the league all of a sudden

I'll go where I want when I want.

Full marks for originality. All fans are gloryhunters. I wish I had gone to City 6 or 7 years ago (I don't regret supporting rovers between 97-04) but things happen. You never know what might change in a few months last October I was at the point where I hated football.

Ironic though isn't it how you always abused me for rarely focusing on football matters. Now its the other way round I actually spend time talking about football and can sit through games without making sarcastic comments about the fans for 90 minutes. They have decent fans at the Etihad that's the difference.

Guess I should have left after less than 40 games and urinated on Jack's legacy like your hero Philip? Be treated like a hero then would I?

posted on 27/2/12

Yeah i agree it will not work and most Rovers fans i know say the same .
The takeover will not work cos Rovers will not be able to get 10.000 fans to do it ,it's a bonkers idea

I didn't ignore it simply pointed out that you haven't showered them with abuse. You ignored my questions so don't accuse me of ignorance.

There's far more chance of a rich individual or group buying Rovers than BRIST as far as I'm concerned.

You wouldn't have gone to City back then. They weren't high enough in the league.

Well you can hardly campaign for new owners there can you?

I think Jones is a disgrace and personally hope he fails at Old Trafford. Your point?

Go on Vinjay, get stuck in son! Boring on here without you. Same old drivel, but hey ho you can't have everything.

The man who wanted a takeover at all costs at the Rovers and the minute it went belly up and he felt shafted he started supporting City!

posted on 27/2/12

Left because of idiots like you and you know it. People like you get what you deserve. I've been shafted by Rovers fans for seven bloody years.

So no comment on this takeover plan OOJW? Surely you don't think its realistic wouldn't that be your usual double standards?

Oh and you can come up with your simplistic glory hunting assumptions all you want. I was asked to go to the Etihad and I did mainly because the 6-1 win was the first time I enjoyed watching football in a long time (well Barcelona beating them again was good but that was expected) so I thought why not give it a go? I must have watched that game twice a day for a week afterwards more football than I had watched in 4 months before that.

Didn't have anything to lose leaving Rovers did I other than anger and contempt? I don't deny being attracted by hatred of Man United I'll admit that but its stronger than that now. I truly believe that would have been the case 6 or 7 years ago.

I cleared my conscience where Rovers (more importantly Jack Walker) are concerned in November. Strangely enough it was attending the FA Cup game (no it wasn't my first game I was also there against Bayern) that made me just as much a city fan as a Man United hater. The fans at that club are special if I had tried Chelsea or Liverpool (unlikely because I don't know anyone who goes there) I doubt I would have stayed. I've always liked City fans (certainly more than the ungrateful Chelsea fans or hypocritical liverpool fans) that had more to do with it than so called glory hunting.

Just a shame that oaf Dunn wasn't playing. Balotelli has 10 times more attitude and personality than that parochial oaf.

Don't have to justify it to you anyway. You have wanted me out of this club for years and you finally managed it.

Just because your friend invited you (I'm pretty sure you mentioned on a previous thread that he had also defected from Rovers) doesn't stop it being glory hunting

posted on 27/2/12

I've thought about going somewhere like City, Liverpool or even Leeds (so much for glory hunting I don't particularly like Leeds fans either) over the last few years but things don't just happen. Certain things happen and the 2 most important things that needed to happen took place on the same day. Sometimes you get the feeling things are just meant to be.

I don't think a successful takeover here would have diminished my contempt for Rovers fans at all. Maybe I was delusional for thinking a takeover would just make me forgive and forget the way I've been insulted constantly for the last 7 years.

I started posting on forums because I hated what the walkers were doing to the club. I didn't have such contempt for rovers fans at that point but considering the abuse I got how could I feel anything else?

They were relegating the club (I don't care if you held a gun to my head you can't tell me starving the club would have led to anything else eventually) and unlike this moronic group I wanted something in place BEFORE relegation not AFTER.

"Just because your friend invited you (I'm pretty sure you mentioned on a previous thread that he had also defected from Rovers) doesn't stop it being glory hunting"

Yes he did leave Rovers. He got offered free tickets to some games at the Etihad and hasn't looked back since. I wouldn't call that pure glory hunting its not like he planned for it. He knows what Rovers fans are like and the fact he's known me a long time (I attended games regularly with him from 99 onwards) so unlike you he remembers what I was like years ago. I wasn't always bitter back when I started supporting the club you wouldn't hear me say a bad word against Rovers. In a way I still didn't in recent years because who was the one who always defended the club everytime you belittled it? Me. You just can't see that though can you?

The sad thing is you probably belittle your kids (those rovers fans who have them) in the exact same way if they show any ambition. You're just those type of people who enjoy dragging things down to your level. Its an inferiority complex.

Its an insult to say I wouldn't have looked at City years ago. I wouldn't have looked at someone like Stockport or Oldham that's true (lots of City fans in those areas) but any big premier league or championship club would have been enough to at least consider attending some games. I honestly do not believe had it been Chelsea or Liverpool I would have stayed. There's no point lying its an internet forum and I'm not planning to post here frequently anymore.

You have burned too many bridges. A successful takeover would not have taken away 5 years (at the time venkys took over) of bitterness. Even if the takeover had been a success and you apologised to me I wouldn't have forgiven or forgot.

Would rather be a so called plastic starrover than a parochial, small minded idiot.

"we support our team whoever the owner's are thru the good time's and bad"

So did I for 5 years. Like I clearly said I left because of the fans.

Its Jack Walker I feel sorry for the man hated United and you couldn't care less. If venkys put the club out of business it will be what you deserve for bring a bunch of small minded, parochial sheep. I'm sure some of you would be fine if its just relegation your lifes only revolve around one obsession. That's the thanks Jack got for his efforts.

Thanks for your 5 years support! What happens with City over the next 5?

People continue to waste their energies with the admittedly very good WUM that is Vincent James.

Leave him to fester without any acknowledgement of his existence. He feeds on people offering replies.

5 years from 2005-2010 under the walkers when it was obvious they didn't give a toss (and a parasite of a manager from 04-08) about the club or Jack. Things which have been proven by their predictable silence in recent months. Even people who claimed the walkers were acting in Jack's best interests have finally changed their tune. I was right about them and it kills you knowing it.

A few months under venkys (who I did support at first its called giving people a chance) and then I was informed I couldn't be a Rovers fan because I wouldn't wish good luck to Jones.

I can say with full justification that you literally turned your backs on me. I gave you one final chance in November (knowing full well that you would do nothing) and that was the last one.

I will say however that OOJW was right when he called me a hypocrite for pointing out I wanted a bigger name to support Allardyce. What was I supposed to do question venkys for appointing Kean? Either way I would have been criticised for moaning about the new owners and remember they did get a good reception as recently as last February.

Plus I was genuinely impressed by Kean at first. So were people like Nixon so I wasn't the only one who saw some potential in him.

posted on 27/2/12

Oh and I like I clearly said from 97-04 so that's 14 years overall (7 of which I was proud to support the club couldn't say that since 05)
