The new owners want to reduce the wage bill
Bad news? You sure?
Steve Clarke now Kenny's No.1, think most of us would prefer that, TBH?
'Sources are suggesting a difference in personality with Kenny Dalglish as the reason for Lee's abrupt departure.'
ie Stop squandering all our cash on donkeys
To be honest I've never rated him anyway and I've always said that. Things went downhill fast after we lost Paco ayesteran and he came in.
You see how much the players go on about how good Steve Clarke is. I cant remeber any of them commenting on how sharp sammy lee's training sessions were.
Oh dear, the same fans who were lauding the Sammy Lee - Kenny Dalglish duo as a throwback to LFC's glorious past are now turning on him?!
Bad news??? This is good news. I'd much prefer Steve Clarke over Sammy Lee. There is no need for two assistants.
If maybe Liverpool fans instead of Man U/Chelsea fans were on our boards we'd maybe be able to gauge the reaction from fans, I'd be interested in seeing how we feel about this?
IMO I think it's a positive step, despite all the years he's given us?... Much happier with SC as second in command? Any Reds out there?...
I'd agree with you Rushie
A fresh start for the new season and reading a good few articles here and there with the players they seem to be raving about how enjoyable the training sessions are under Kenny and Steve Clarke
Good luck to Sammy wherever he ends up
Steve Clark is the real manager, what are you on about? That doddering old fool Dalglish is just a figure head for commercial reason and most Liverpool fans stuck in the past,.. lets face it, he's clueless about the modern game today.

No,no - "doddering old fools" are found on the golf course driving a 'mobility scooter'
Great news. Sammy Lee quits so as to enable the club to challenge for honours with Kenny and Steve.
Yes, with Carroll, henderson and Bridge, Adam and Downing to join shortly what's to stop Pool challenging fo-wiat, it's just too much

I'm hearing rumours QK is back on the sauce already.
I'm sad he's gone - an absolute Liverpool legend.
I've never really understood how people on boards, such as these, can gauge whether a coach is any good or not.
Do the people on here hold their coaching badges?
Do they attend the training sessions at Melwood?
No - they make it up. I have absolutely no idea whether they are good coaches or not. I do know that Sammy is a legend though.

I dont think any of us would dispute he is a legend. However all I can go on is 1. how have results been since he's been here and 2. What sort of things do you hear from the players.
facts are since Steve Clarke has come in about 5 players have commented on how sharp training has become and how much they enjoy it now. That implies it wasnt as sharp before he joined.
Nobody on here is claiming to be a coach. But you dont have to be a coach to read into that.
Im also pretty sure he was no.2 to Steve Mcclaren at England was he not? that didnt go too well either.
Legend as a player, not much of a coach for me.
Legend.
Probably the worst player ever to put on an England top as long with Carlton Palmer
Sammy seems to get on well with Big Sam and they worked well as a team at Bolton.
Clarke's arrival has shunted Sammy down to 3rd on the Liverpool coaching front so it's only natural that when Big Sam came calling he'd be more than interested in being his number 2 again.
Good move for Sammy and of little import to Liverpool as Dalglish and Clarke and Comolii are the decision makers.
wasn't Sammy Lee only at Liverpool to put the cones out for warm ups. He's hardly going to be a big miss at Anfield is he?
A new 'keeper, unproven in British football? The poor away form with it's porous defence looks set to continue.
The new Taibi????
As far as I'm aware, Sammy was only really ever there to make Craig Bellamy feel like a big man. Once Bellamy left he was kind of always surplus to requirements.
