balls I missed it, what channel is it on?

It's going to be on ESPN, but I think the first one is next weekend, unless I missed it?
It was on Friday night/Saturday morn 2am on ESPN.
On every Saturday Morning at 2am Live from now...the 1st episode is being repeated nearly everyday this week.
ah thanks for that Jud, they left it pretty late to announce if/when it was being shown!
I'll be sure to try and catch up this week, sounds like it's worth it!
any details on this boys? What weights are the contestants?
They're Lightweights.
Some looked really really good.
Like i say, replays shown on ESPN all week...next episode is Saturday Morning 2am (So late Friday Night)
Live fight #1 should be a beauty!!!

Lightweights? Really? Some of them were massive!!
Some good fights but I cant help but feel the refs stopped 2 or 3 way too early!! I know its a 1 round fight, but still give them time to recover!!

Yeah the 1st round idea was a good idea. It makes people "leave it out the hands of the judges" as DW would say.
However its not great if you get a wrestler sitting on a guy for 5 minutes, but I suppose he could do that for 3 rounds.
Serial, I came on here to discuss the exact point that you mentioned - the ref stopped some of the fights so quickly, I didn't know if there was some particular rule in place?
ie - a 'knock down' is enough to stop the fight as opposed to a knock out or something?
It made me wonder too. I guess they were perhaps trying to ensure that anyone knocked down wasnt further injured as lets face it a knock down in a round usually wins the round, so perhaps that was their reasoning?
Also this would safeguard the fighters as usually there are 2 or 3 that dont go into the hosue due to injuries picked up in the pre fight.
the 'purist' in me does think that MMA in general has got a lot softer, refs jump in so quickly these days. ie - Fedor vs Hendo never should've been stopped in my opinion.
But now that it's a much more 'reputable' sport, they probably need to be a lot more careful.
And I think it's a good point about TUF, they probably need to take extra care that they don't end up with a house full of already injured fighters!

Anyone watched the most recent episode yet? Won't mention the winner or anything so I don't spoil it.
Forgot to programme sky to record the next programme so recording finished during the picks or the next fight!
Philispurs...mine cut out just as the opponent was about to be named!! ,
I like what the 'winning judge' did
Haha yep exacty the same for me marco, really frustrating!
But yeah that was a very ballsy move, I liked it. Would've been nice to see how it went down though!
I've read what happened... the losing judge asks his team who's ready to fight the winning judges pick (no.1 guy)... the losing judges team all look down so he passes it back to the winning judge who chooses the losing judge's no.2 or no.3 pick!!
Well done winning judge!

Great psychological move by 'winning judge' (when has it been long enough that we can use names without spoilers?!).
Really knocks the other team down a peg by showing no one wanted to take the fight on. They'll feel gutted about that.
To be fair Lawrence looked pretty darn tough in his first fight

I'm gonna start another thread with a spoiler alert so we can discuss the episode with names...
