Play offs for me; however, if you changed the question to promotion or win the cup, I'd have to say the cup.
I grew up in the sixties/seventies, and the cup still retains its magic in my heart.

Ouch - I always say the league comes first.....

.... but having never won the FA Cup, I'd take te Wembley cup final.

I'm feeling a bit negative at the minute though a think neither are likely.

Where ate those happy pills again...

being 62 and seeing us lose 3 fa cup finals also hearing my late father telling me how we were robbed in 49 against wolves it has always got to be winning the fa cup for me,in my younger days it was either the league or the cup and it was always the cup for me and all my mates, the glamour of it has stayed with me all these years and always will

Wembley for me too. I was just looking at a site and how much they are charging for tickets...god.

3 trips to Wembley for me - with Leicester winning all 3 and adding the FA Cup and Championship Play Off trophies to our cabinet. And then the season after that we qualify for Europe. Then we win the Europa League. Then we win the Premier League. Then we win the Champions League. Then we top it all off by winning the World Cup...

An FA Cup win every time. My Great Grandad used to say he would die happy if he saw City lift the cup. Four generations on and we're still waiting.

True, but you can't win the FA Cup without getting to the final.

Similarly, you can't get to the Prem unless you are in the play offs (as auto is out of the question).
I just wonder how many City fans would be happy just to have one day out a Wembley. If this was a losing semi final or a loosing play off final, I'd be devasted at missing the Prem again.

Well having been at Wembley when we've lost both a play off final and a league cup final, I wouldn't want to experience either again.

I wonder what would be worse though, losing a semi-final at Wembley or a final?

If you lose a semi-final, you would have a feeling of 'We were so close to the final, and we've just spent a bloody fortune on tickets and travel and food and everything else for nothing' (although I suppose that would apply wherever the semi was held, but being at Wembley would just make it seem a bigger loss than at say, Villa Park or Hillsborough).

If you lose a final it's a massive let down after all the build up and the thought that you were only 90 mins and a clean sheet away from winning the ultimate pot.

Definitely the playoffs, unless the choice is updated to win the FA cup.

Why? - because to get to the playoffs we would have to show excellent form (perhaps 8 wins out of 10 matches) which would give us a good chance of winning promotion.

So what if the choice was promotion or win the cup?

Tough call but I'd go for the cup - it's a permanent achievement - and take the chances of promotion next year.
