I never said it wasn't rap. I said it wasn't hip hop. Two different things.
I also didn't say I hate it because it is popular. Wu Tang Forever went multi platinum and is one of my favourite albums!

Cant stand Drake. Its all about Ja Rule.

I'm sorry Drake isn't hip hop? because his music is popular?

Drake isn't hip-hop because his music is not hip-hop.

Why do you keep saying "because he is popular"? I have named many hip hop acts who have outsold him.

I mean, if you just wait around for him to release songs with Rihanna and Bieber, sure I can see where you are coming from. But if you listen to his older mixtapes and even the songs on his latest work, he's just an example of contemporary hip hop.

Doesn't sound like pop music to me tbh

Also wasn't Ooutkast's 'Hey ya!' like one of the most popular pop songs over the past 10 years?

I don't like Lil Wayne...

Hey Ya was an Andre 3000 song after OutKast split. For contract reasons it was labelled as OutKast.
Plus what has "popular" got to do with anything. I have already explained the likes of Wu Tang have gone 4x Platinum.

Does not 'pop' stand for popular music?

posted on 20/4/13

Andre 3000 is one of the greatest rappers i have ever heard.

Well strictly speaking, but in general usage it means music made for the charts.

Artists like Rolling Stones, Oasis etc do not make what is known as pop music but there music is very popular.
