According to Argentine journalist, @gusta_mendez, Enzo Fernandez is close to signing for Real Madrid and will be announced after the World Cup. 🤔

Not gonna lie, its annoying, but if the money is good I am not that bothered by this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That would be incredibly annoying and the start of the player flipping

What did we pay for enzo?

Juventus are working with Victor Osimhen’s entourage and preparing an offer of €80m, through the footballer’s attorney. President De Laurentiis wants €100m but would prefer a sale abroad. Osimhen's preference remains the Premier League who can sign him for €75m. (via @sportmediaset)

🚨 BREAKING: Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid have approached Emiliano Martínez, who has a chance of leaving Aston Villa this summer. It will depend on the Champions League, but the player wants to fight for titles. (via @edu17burgos)

If we get Rodrygo or Endrick as part of the deal then I'd be very happy.

For us to even be entertaining this idea, it's gotta be 140+ cos I am assuming he still has 3+ years on his contract. And not gonna lie if they pay that much I honestly feel it would be good business, as I feel Enzo doesn't exactly suit the prem and will probably flourish in Spain

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

And I guess we don't even replace him, and just drop in Santos

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

Yeah can see this happening. It's probably a good deal for everyone involved if the money is right for us. Or we get a good player + money out of this.

But yeah the deal would need to be well north of the 100 million we paid for him of course.

Selling Enzo won't concern me that we're about to become a selling club. I honestly dunno why he joined us in the first place?

It seems a bit weird now but in January 2023 he was the hottest of hot sh!ts 2nd only to Bellingham. Why he decided to bully Benfica & undercut his options in order to join a club who weren't gunna get CL (let alone challenge for big titles) nor pay him an outrageous amount of money I'd love to know one day. It was a strange call by him that I'd only have expected him to make if he had an emotional reason (e.g. was a Chelsea fan), or he was helplessly impressionable & actually bought into our galaxy brain strategy.

Cashing in on people like Palmer & Santos will start leading me down a path the owners wanna use us as a talent factory.

We also sold Gallagher in large part cos him & Enzo didn't work in the same team on 23-24 season's evidence. So if Enzo leaves a year later... good call there lads

I dont see him being an all time PL midfielder tbh

Which is really the potential id need to see to justify the price

Happy to keep him and see but this isnt an awful outcome

Inzaghi will probably make a better player out of him

I don’t think Enzo has been used well at Chelsea. He goes missing for large parts of the game. At least he’s been contributing with goals and assists.

I want to see him playing deeper. It feels like he takes up positions Palmer should be in whilst Palmer is picking the ball up deeper and doing things that I want Enzo to be doing.

I think an £80m bid from RM would be hard to turn down. I don’t think we’ll be making our money back on most of these big money signings. We got our pants pulled down on most of these deals.

Marc Guiu and Christopher Nkunku are in training today.

Disagree in this case - we have all the cards from what I can see, long contract, captain, integral to the team. Don't see us taking anything under what we paid minimum, especially since we don't need to sell. Others I agree, they have been sheite, and most people over the age of 8 could see thru any bs - Enzo is one of the few where we can make demands

He is an odd player in fairness. He can do everything in theory, but not a lot (too world class standard) in practice.

He's not defensively good enough to be a protective DM, could be an aggressive DM cos passing range is good, but at the same time he does have that ability to ghost into the box untracked which is an offensive minded B2B player's quality.

He strikes me as a player who'll do a bit better in La Liga than he's been in the PL, but kill it in Serie A.
