I think Gusto needs to go. We need a good backup as James can’t be relied upon for every game, and Gusto isn’t good enough. It’s not just that he can’t play as an inverted full back (which he can’t), but he’s not very good at defending either. He was torn apart every time the Betis winger got the ball.

Maresca clearly wants inverted full backs, for better or worse. And the best players to do that are ball players - players who are good enough to play in midfield, not just people who can run. Gusto can run, but he’s not a good ball player.

Gusto had an excellent season last year, but unconvinced he suits Maresca's style of play.

The smart move would be a loan as I still don't think Maresca's guaranteed to be our long term manager, and Gusto could come back to bite us.

Some of academy followers on social media think Samuels-Smith has a lot of potential as LB. I wonder if he'll go on loan or be given a chance in pre-season to see if he could deputise Cucurella.

I do love that Jackson thought he was heading that Palmer cross.

Agreed. I like to see him wide right occasionally - which we really haven’t tried this season. Against very strong teams I like the idea of Lavia, Caicedo and Enzo as the 3 in midfield - with Palmer on the right of a front 3.

It's 100mil just for taking part in this thing, I'll guess it's another 100 if you win it.

Imagine the owners creaming their pants at the thought of 200mil able to be amortized over 5yrs? It'll be kids in a candy store season again
