Well I think he's more than good enough to be our starting CB and those that don't will just have to put up with the fact that he is.

Said above.
Oh buried in Simons comment
Yeah dont agree with that
Emmanuel Emegha and Chelsea are close to a contractual agreement for next summer.

Completely fair enough, and he has been improving, but hes just the best of an average bunch with even a few below average bunch in there.
My point is though, and its exactly as you said Superb he is our no one starting CB.......and in my opinion he shouldnt be atm, he should be partnering a good CB and learning his trade, he still has been caught a lot and had a few mistakes in him......again less than the others BUT he needs a partner.
Fofana could be that guy for sure, but he needs to stay fit for longer than 5 mins
I think for sure he is very good for a 22 yr old CB and theres clearly potential for more there
Terry hit his final form at like 24/25ish
I agree with you Blarmy mate, and fully expect him to get there too. I just don't think he is quite there, and frankly it's unfair in my opinion to force it on him now. The thing is with his partners, right back and Sanchez he doesn't have much support around him.......and that sucks, and why he needs a good partner and not back up next to him.....and behind him
Newcastle have had an awful window
Lost out on all major targets besides Elanga and about to lose Isak

Newcastle getting fecked in the transfer market. Potentially going to lose Isak (Pool) and Livremento (City) and have lost out on a dozen targets like Joao Pedro, Ekitike, Trafford, Mbeumo and Delap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They have CL footy as well but are unable to attract top quality players.
As some pod somewhere laid it out, Isak is doing the calculations in his head and realising he cant stick about there if he wants major trophies. They are probably still like 4 years away from one
Ajax are in a dilemma. Chelsea does not offer above £35.4m for Hato, which Ajax do not want to accept, but which other club can Ajax guarantee bids this amount later on? (@MikeVerweij) #CFC
Doesn't that show how good Colwill is that he's been our first choice CB for what feels like a while already and yet he's still only 22 ?
And he's done it without the luxury of a really top commanding keeper behind him in an ever changing defensive line. Talk about baptism of fire.
‼️ With Ishe Samuels-Smith joining Strasbourg for £6.5m, Chelsea will have raised around £158.2m from selling players to balance £230m of spending on new players when that goes through.
~ @NizaarKinsella
‼️ Chelsea have refused to improve their €41m to Ajax for Jorrel Hato.
However, the Amsterdam club, who may accept around €43-45 million can’t risk calling off the deal due to their bleak financial situation.

He's a good and young CB who is still learning, would be ideal next to a prime Thiago Silva but instead he has a different CB partner every other week.

He's more than just a rookie at this stage though. We've got top four, won two trophies this season including not conceding a goal to a rampant PSG with Colwill as our chief CB so he's doing something right and clearly learned a lot already.
‼️ You can see why he [Hato] is of interest to a club like Chelsea. Maresca wants defenders who can progress the ball, dictate tempo, and play under pressure.
The exciting thing about Hato is that, sure, he’s a top young talent. But he also already performing like a seasoned pro.
Composed, technically gifted and tactically versatile he’s already one of Ajax’s most important players. On the face of it, there is a lot of potential long-term upside.
