Lindegaard, Amos, Johnstone, Ferdinand, Veseli, Vermijl, Wootton, Blackett; Valencia, Anderson, Carrick, Scholes, Powell, Kagawa, Bebe, Tunnicliffe, Lingard, Brady, Petrucci; Berbatov, Chicharito, Macheda.

that is the list of players going on the tour

Johnstone
Wootton,
Blackett
Tunnicliffe
Lingard,
Brady

all these players are highly unlikely to make it at united, yet theyre still going on the tour, why has noone questioned that??
--------------------------------

Why would they? SAF has to fill the squad in the absence of those that are injured, playing in the Olympics, returning from the Euros. Who would you take instead?

Just think the lad needs to be left alone and if he doesnt make it so be it. BUT if he does they should make a movie
----
Agreed. It could be the much anticipated 4th installment of Goal.
-------------------------------------------

A remake of Brewster's Millions would surely be more appropriate?

Jordi Cryuff was pretty bad as well.

My take on Bebe is that he's a striker that played out of position on the wings and didn't look comfortable. Also, because of the nature of his transfer he looked so desperate to try and impress and was trying to do too much. It's prett difficult to gauge how good a player is from these limited appearances. But ask why he was signed, and why he wasn't sold if the management didn't think he had any potential?

Not saying the club are infallible, but the fact he was signed for United suggests some people at the club rate him and I'm willing to see what he has to offer the club.

When we get a situation like Darron Gibson, who was clearly not good enough but playing lots of games, then slate away.

Lool. Probably because they haven't developed a chance to hate them. Give it time.

Because they are products of our academy and youth set up. They didn't cost 7m euros.

They probably won't make it at United. I personally think Tunnicliffe might. But they didn't cost us anything and will have had an excellent start in their careers at United where they get looked after. Most will probably go on and do well at well established football clubs.

--------------------------

His name was Ali Dia.

He replaced the great Matt Le Tissier after 32 mins and was later subbed himself.

To be fair, he's a striker, not a winger.

He's scored a couple of crackers for the reserves, one impossible volley. But I dunno.

arab - I didnt just mean bebe for the last question. I think it answers all what you wrote

Normally Rob i have quite a bit of time for your posts, i dont always agree, but thats what a forum is all about, different opinions

but the below

Even then he moved to Crystal Palace and had to pay his dues rather than be signed for £7 million

comment has confused me.
Bebe never asked for the price tag, so if anything, he will have to pay his dues more than anyone else to succeed at united, as nearly everyone expects him to fail.

i think the fact he has gone from rags to riches wont have helped, it would be a lot for anyone to adjust to.

let me throw the name Giuliano Maiorana at you, signed from non league histon town by fergie in 1989 after making only 30 league appearances in non league prior to that, and he went pretty much straight into the first team.

and as said previously, there have been a lot worse than bebe at united, and ralph milne was one.

the fact is 7 million was a hell of a lot to pay for bebe, but the money has gone, and we are highly unlikely to recoup hardly anything back, the lad wont be on a massive wage either, so people should just wait and see what happens.

i think the question should be why have we got berbatov on the books not getting a game at 90k a week, rather than bebe on 10k.

If he was worse than bebe....he must have been truly shocking.

I have seen clips of Bebe doing some fantastic things in the reserves, that Ralph was never capable of.

exactly stretty, surely its better to give game time to someone we spent 7 million on, who probably wont make it, who we might recoup a couple of million on than some kid who will get released for not being good enough anyway!

posted on 16/7/12

wonder how much it costs to get a player through the ranks at UTD (academy etc) but then they get sold for one reason or another or worse released on a free

And if he does leave then we can just sing 'bye bye Bebe, Bebe good..... byeeeeee.'

I really feel for the reds who parted with their hard earned cash to turn up and see him on a saturday then.

And this reserves thing is getting way too silly. Most reserve sides are made up of kids. Bebe can play like Messi for all I care in the reserves. Reserve football is probably on a par with league two or possibly even lower.

We're talking PL football here and at the very top too.

Well I see your point, kind of.

But I don't agree because bebe won't be making the 25 man squad list. Not a chance.

He'll be on loan, sold or playing reserve football next season.

people also seem to forget Fergie did something very similar with william prunier

gave him a couple of games on the advice of cantona!
