Just to let you know that when we were in the same competition with Poch we went out against Gent in the round of 32.

You downplaying what Ange has achieved yet the last time we won it was 1984.

If it was so easy why have we not been winning it since?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah and I said above Ange had only the Europa to focus on. He was put uniquely in a position in which he was kept on past the league meaning much anymore so he could achieve that goal, and it wasn't a strong competition to focus on. Poch was always doing well enough in the league while having Europe, to challenge for top 4, apart from his final season when he was sacked at the first sign of trouble, unlike Ange.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The thing is if it was upto you and many spurs fans on this site then we would have got rid of Ange mid season and never would have a won a cup.

So all I can say is that I am glad the people in charge didn’t listen to you!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We would but we also don't know if getting rid of him mid season might have given us the same outcome?

If you asked me whether I'd take this season for the sake of the trophy and CL, over say Villa's season, I would take ours. However as a whole the season hasn't been good enough when judging the manager and I don't think he should be managing next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course you would take ours!

And the constant abuse of Ange and it was very constant looks very silly now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The abuse might be going too far and we know it does in football. But the criticism can still be warranted. You can sugarcoat the season all you like from the Europa win, there's still no getting away from the terrible league campaign.

"Clearly prioritised"

What for the whole season?

What were we prioritising at the end of last season when we were going for top 4 and form went out of the window?

Yes the Europa league trophy with the caveat that the whole form in the league was rubbish with it and has been since before this season. This is why people are talking about Ange's future being in the balance. Some of us don't want to turn our nose's up at it just because we won the Europa.

Also, I see nothing to suggest Postecoglu is anywhere near "our best manager".
A very lucky Europa win against the worst Manu team in a generation?
A premiership campaign that landed us one above relegation?
Come on.....you cannot be serious!!!

Cry more Ted. Ange made history and broke a 17 year curse. We are winners again. No more Spursy. No more bottle jobs. He has corrected everything Poch failed at in one night.

I look at the big picture, which you don't. You don't care that we were rubbish in the league yet you also said yesterday you don't mind if Ange goes. Doesn't make sense that you don't care if a manager you consider to be the best, goes or not.

If he's as good as you think, why is his job in jeopardy?

Managers come and go all time. Look at his history, I think his longest tenture at anyone club is 4 years, he was at Celtic for 2 years.

I have never expected him to be here long term and I don't think he has either. The league form does come in to the equation but being Europa league champions superseeds the league form.

He has literally book ended everything before 2025. And I'll say it again. Should we be so lucky to win a trophy in the next five years without Ange. We look back and say Ange started this. Fact.

Spursy, Doctor Tottenham and Bottle jobs are names that have plagued us for the length of Levy's ownership here. Bottled things under Jol, under Redknapp and Poch. It's as much on Levy as anyone. We've won a Europa so will it end now? Well it didn't when we won with Ramos. So time will tell.

The idea that the club is in a better position is only true in honours, not in form. You could definitely say that Ange has made us a worse team and bad teams still win trophies. We proved it. Twice now..both under Ramos and Ange.

We haven’t paid anything for Danso yet and Porro was agreed under conte wasn’t he.

I agree overall though our spending has increased dramatically since we moved stadium although I don’t think it’s got much better in players we’ve signed.

Any I will reiterate what I said earlier.

Ange is the best manager THFC has had this century. Ramos is second. Winners only.

And when Ange leaves the club, the next manager should be grateful to Ange for squad he will inherit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you mean best as in successful, as in winning trophies then yes. Most people would factor other things in when judging a manager though. Like if Ange got us relegated to go with his trophy, are you really going to call him the "best"?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously not but right now he is the best. Fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not a fact only an opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, how many other managers have won us a European Trophy this century? Talk to me. Don't be bring up the Argentian Jimmy White either 😂.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just going round in circles because all you acknowledge is trophies and not the bigger picture. Very narrow-minded outlook.

You also appear to dislike Poch which I think clouds your judgement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol I gave you the bigger picture should Ange leave.

I know the club is in a better position than when he arrived. You never even acknowledged this when I brought it up earlier.

I don't hate Poch one bit. I respect what he did but it wasn't much and by the time he left, our club was a banter club. That was his legancy. Fact. Bottle jobs. Spursy, Doctor Tottenham. That all on Poch .

But I respect him for some great nights. But not night was better than Bilbao.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spursy, Doctor Tottenham and Bottle jobs are names that have plagued us for the length of Levy's ownership here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch's tenture amplified Bottle jobs and Spursy even more.

Fact.

Ange isn’t our best manager in recent history, he’s our most successful manager though.

And greatest this century. Fact
