In that case we need a good start, like better than the start of this season. If he doesn't he'll be out pretty soon. The club should already have a plan B in place for if/when it does fail.

Agreed.

I’m easy either way although I was Ange out from Christmas and deep down I know this won’t workout long term.

Have to say though all these manager targets aren’t very exciting

Need 3 minimum ready to go experienced ( by playing time not necessarily age ) players

posted 1 week, 1 day ago

Didn't Xavi manage them under horrible financial conditions and still win the league?

I want a big name. I don't want some middle table manager. We have done that a few times. They have to be a winner.

If Ange stays, we can start to make transfers and he can start charming potential players again.

If he leaves, then it's a ling ting to sign players. The new man might want to assess the players and so on.

Give him the first 5 -10 games of the season. If it is the same as this season, cheerio.

My favourite thing right now is to go on twitter and post this image https://freeimage.host/i/3mHCvqv on all Ange out posts and watch them go nuts

They aren't the best but I'd genuinely be quite pleased and excited with what Iraola could do, just because it feels the most like a younger Poch. He's even got the same points this season as Poch did at Southampton before we appointed him and only 1 position lower.

Now I fear that ship may have sailed, either because we're keeping Ange, or we don't seem as interested in Iraola anymore with Paratici here.

we've tried the big name winners a few times too, then the Australian from the Scottish league ended up being the one who won something

I don't think being a big name or a winner is essential. We've gone that route before and it's not been a guarantee of success. Honestly, if we had someone come in like an Arteta, and he did with us where we are now, what he has done with Arsenal from the time of taking over, I think we'd be fairly happy.

Woolwich are a laughing stock but I get your point in terms of matching what Poch did but lets try to aim higher.

If the ITK from SC is right, it means we can crack on and sign players from today. No compo for Ange and no compo for some mid table manager either.

Roll the dice and bring on the Red Wedding in November if that's the case. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Sign some players. The team comes first.

I think the club is better placed now than at any other time before if you consider squad, youth, finances, off pitch structure. Feels like we are well ready for a top manager to take the next step. There just ain't many out there to pick from who would come.

Agreed Devon.

Ange was a winner before Celtic. In different countries as well. We might scoff at the leagues but did his job.

He won an FA Cup in his first season. If another manager came in in place of Ange mid-season and won us an FA Cup, he would get off to a brilliant start. Arsenal fans are admittedly starting to run out of patience now but their problem is as much on the club not signing a striker.

With the help of a change of approach from Levy it needs to be said. Any other time Ange just gets disposed with before January and the new manager comes in pressured into improving our league form to get us into CL qualification.

Ramos joined us mid season, won the league cup then got sacked after spending loads 😂.

This club is mad. We are lunatics supporting them.

Perhaps, although with the way the Europa was this season I'd say more chance of a cup than usual.

Ramos and Ange. There must be a link between being shiiit in the league and increasing your chances of winning something at this club.

It's because we never build a properly good squad even if we have a grate first team

posted 1 week, 1 day ago

I mean, the reverse is true right? The best run of finishes in the league we've had in recent memory we flunked out of all the cups basically
