First club in Top flight history to lose 22 games and not get relegated.

Will the accolades never end.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most goals conceded for over 30 years. How much has he spent on defence again with Danso, Dragusin, VDV, Porro?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We haven’t paid anything for Danso yet and Porro was agreed under conte wasn’t he.

I agree overall though our spending has increased dramatically since we moved stadium although I don’t think it’s got much better in players we’ve signed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Porro was actually signed under Ange. He gave it the go ahead, apparently.

I forgot Danso was on loan. I also forgot Vicario, Kinsky. Even Gray was signed for big money and played in defence.

Any I will reiterate what I said earlier.

Ange is the best manager THFC has had this century. Ramos is second. Winners only.

And when Ange leaves the club, the next manager should be grateful to Ange for squad he will inherit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you mean best as in successful, as in winning trophies then yes. Most people would factor other things in when judging a manager though. Like if Ange got us relegated to go with his trophy, are you really going to call him the "best"?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously not but right now he is the best. Fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not a fact only an opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, how many other managers have won us a European Trophy this century? Talk to me. Don't be bring up the Argentian Jimmy White either 😂.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just going round in circles because all you acknowledge is trophies and not the bigger picture. Very narrow-minded outlook.

You also appear to dislike Poch which I think clouds your judgement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol I gave you the bigger picture should Ange leave.

I know the club is in a better position than when he arrived. You never even acknowledged this when I brought it up earlier.

I don't hate Poch one bit. I respect what he did but it wasn't much and by the time he left, our club was a banter club. That was his legancy. Fact. Bottle jobs. Spursy, Doctor Tottenham. That all on Poch .

But I respect him for some great nights. But not night was better than Bilbao.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spursy, Doctor Tottenham and Bottle jobs are names that have plagued us for the length of Levy's ownership here. Bottled things under Jol, under Redknapp and Poch. It's as much on Levy as anyone. We've won a Europa so will it end now? Well it didn't when we won with Ramos. So time will tell.

The idea that the club is in a better position is only true in honours, not in form. You could definitely say that Ange has made us a worse team and bad teams still win trophies. We proved it. Twice now..both under Ramos and Ange.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch's tenture amplified Bottle jobs and Spursy even more.

Fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were known for bottling top 4 before Poch came in as well but he changed that. There's good and bad.

Porro was a loan with an obligation to buy do Ange had no choice.

All semantics though because we know we needed new defenders desperately as we was getting rid of a lot

There wasn’t any bottle jobs under Poch in reality.

We just cone up against top teams in finals and semi finals.

His tenure was unbelievable and shouldn’t be down played to point score

posted 1 week, 2 days ago

Redknapp changed us getting into the Top 4. Lets not change the course the history and try to attribute something to Poch.

He come 3rd in a two horse race didn't he?

posted 1 week, 2 days ago

Desperate to attribute something to Poch that Redknapp achieved first.

Agreed but Poch's tenure should be used when debating actual success to make believe success.

Redknapp broke the duck but Poch made it the normal.

Ange broke the duck hopefully this becomes the normal

Roony Bardghji

Johan Lange is working on a cost effective way to bring Roony Bardghji to Tottenham this summer. Roony’s ACL injury and missing so much football will mean the price is key.

Roony’s contract is set to expire in months, opting changing his agent last January who has a special relationship with Spurs, Roony is extremely close with Lucas Bergvall and has spent time with him this season in London and attended games at n17 whilst being injured!

Tottenham assistant manager Ryan Mason is the leading candidate to become West Brom boss.

Seen several sites post this. If he does go, hopefully we could loan some more kids to them.

Ideal.

We should carry on this link up with orient too. Try and send couple players to them every season.

Watched thier final yesterday and I noticed Donely really looks like a man now physically. He might be ready next season for a squad place

posted 1 week, 2 days ago

I reckon by Friday or earlier we should know the outcome of Ange's future.

Then whoever is in charge will take a look at Donley, Abbott, Keeley, Dorrington ect in pre season.

Word is some of the above have championship clubs knocking for loans.

If Dorrington stays with Aberdeen he could play in Europe with them.

Rayan Cherki

Cherki is player Tottenham have already held talks with in the summer but Lyon Owner made it very hard to conduct a deal.

Paratici believes like Porro some deals are worth the pain and Spurs should go back for Cherki in January and also persuade fellow Ligue 1 star Jonathan David. Effectively both players could cost Spurs less than £25m..

Always take with a pinch of salt 👍🏻

Would love Cherki. Genuinely a world class player in waiting.

I love Redknapp and would have that version back over Ange in a heartbeat. I also think that version could have taken over from Ange around Jan and still delivered us a trophy, but that's another matter.

What I should have said was CL, not top 4, because Redknapp did get us our first top 4 finish and then again a couple of seasons later. We only got CL the once though and Redknapp was unlucky with the Chelsea winning it and denying us qualification. That was still met with the tag of Spursy and bottle jobs and then subsequently AVB struggled to achieve it after a close race. Poch qualified for it 4 times in a row, even when form was falling off in his penultimate season, he still got us over the line with CL football for us. So yeah, I would say he quashed that bottling tag as far as top 4 or CL qualification. I mean Poch pretty much established us as a CL team it's fair to say.

This is true. People talk like he bottled the CL final while forgetting we played a Liverpool team who came second and gained 97 points in total. The other final we were facing the league winners.

Bit different to facing a Man United who finished 16th place. Clearly a better opportunity to win it.

See you don’t also need to downplay us winning the Europa to point score.

posted 1 week, 2 days ago

You can only play with the cards you are dealt with.

Leading up the final with Poch, there wasn't a sense we could win it. The whole Kane thing as well. Poch was being cryptic and never had the same belief Ange had or portrayed.

Right, so coming top 4 doesn't demonstrate a good managerial job? He overachieved based on spend compared to others.

Try looking at the football world in not so black and white terms i.e. trophy = great season, anything else = shiiit season.
