If he was available and continued his average of a g/a every 100 minutes then youd be looking at a very decent return, better than Solanke managed this season.

And even 23/24, Richi scored more than Solanke in a lot fewer games 9G/3A in 2200 minutes VS 11G/1A in 1500 minutes.

Pro rata, if Richi managed 220 minutes then that's 22 goal contributions across a season.

I get that he's not top drawer, i just think he is better than given credit for and his Spurs career has been blighted by injuries.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's never scored more than 13 in one league season and that was at Everton where the whole team was set up to give him goals. He was their main man.

You're applying data based on very short runs. The only data that really matters is the goals he's scored throughout his career. His average is a goal every 4 games. Now for a player that brings little else, that's a poor record. For us, that level has dropped even further. In the league he's about 1 goal in 6 games. He's just not a good player. We're in the bracket of clubs whose squad players should be better than Richy.

For me he's one of the worst players to ever play for the club. I genuinely mean that. Pound for pound, given the money we spent on him, he's probably up there with Ndombele.

Whoever sanctioned that deal needs sacking. There's Conte, sure, but Paratici should hold some blame. He still gave it the green light.

Actually, on that, I think Paratici has been given too much credit really. Sure, he gave us Deki, Bents and Udogie, but beyond that, he's been pretty hit and miss. So far Lange has been quietly going about his business, snapping up players like Bergvall, Vuskovic and many others on absolute peanuts. I'd be very careful about re-employing Paratici. First of all, we'd end up having a power struggle in recruitment and secondly, I think Lange's business is starting to bear fruit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

None of us can predicted what would have happened had he been fit.

A goal or assist every 100 minutes even in a very stop start 2 seasons is very decent. If you want to include the year before then he played from wide behind Son & Kane so he was hardly going to flourish there.

As for Everton, he did ok in a middle to bottom half team who played under a succession of different managers and caretakers, and his goals at the end of the 21/22 season were key in keeping Everton up.

May be £60m was too much but as back up to Kane, I think it was decent business, trying to fill an almost impossible role to fill (Kane understudy)

I like Richarlison, good player, I’d happily keep him in the squad if he could stay fit.

You don’t play 50 games for Brazil if you’re crap.

Absolute nonsense.

He plays for Brazil because they’ve run dry of top draw players. You’re basing your thoughts on Brazil on a legacy, not on the current squad. Trust me, he wouldn’t have been anywhere near the squads that had Romario and Bebeto in 94. Then he’d have never made the 2002 squad of Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho. He’s only there because Brazil are shiiiiit now.

Oh well. It was still the best I've felt in a transfer window for a while, even if it was for one day or however long it was that we thought we were quickly signing MGW.

It was. It was like seeing how the other half lived, for an afternoon. Now normal service resumed with silence and secrecy.

11 days since we got told he’s coming and his medical was booked for the next day.

Whether you want to admit it or not that’s a saga with everything that’s happened since.

Karenakis the most hated chairman by Spurs fans. That's a positive for Levy at least.

Would be a good buy this. Prem proven, not ridiculously priced and much needed experience in the middle of the park. Not bothered by sell on value etc. That's for Levy to sweat over. We'll get 2-3 good years out of him.

Said this ages ago. He needs to do a lot more but obviously given personal circumstances, that's difficult. His agent should be doing his 'rage' for him though. They're kind of leaving us out to dry. If you really want to join us mate, you're gonna have to kick up a stink. I don't understand why he's not doing that. Everyone knows who the cvnt in this equation is and it certainly isn't MGW, regardless of whether he hands a transfer request in or not.

If he ends up going to City he's screwed because their only reason for getting him in is to fulfil a homegrown quota. He'll be a benchwarmer in a WC season.

The only thing I would say is that this girlfriend of his, Britney De Villiers, is an influencer based in London apparently. The fact that she's in the fashion field will likely mean she'd want the move to London more than Manchester or Nottingham. It could be a bit like the Maddison deal. He joined us because his wife wanted to move to London, which is why he went for us with no Europe over Newcastle with CL. Hopefully that works in our favour. Who knows?

posted 4 weeks, 1 day ago

Give it another couple of days, and if no movement, Spurs should just pull out, and end any further dealings with Forest until they have a change of owners. Spurs cannot be held to ransom by a club like Forest.
