I think the blast and radiation radius of a nuclear bomb on Seoul would be nothing more than a few miles but, depending on where exactly the bomb detonates, detectable radiation could be lifted in to the atmosphere and carried up to 1000's of miles away.

Don't see why china would help Korea. Destroying USA economy is gonna hurt china just as much as china getting destroyed would hurt USA. They may hate each other but there's no way either would benefit from destroying each other.

As for N Korea let them have their fun. They been waiting years for this.

it depends on the wind patterns. I don't know why they'd nuke a country they are invading anyway.. Japan and US assets in the immediate area would be what are targeted.
Anyway this is a manufactured crisis USA has an interest in maintaining NK as an enemy - the problem is that it could very well backfire with stunts like this. Obama's fault

Please elucidate, this could be an interesting opinion and I'd like you to explain it fully.

Alluding to an earlier point about North Korean military partners, apparently I was a little wrong about North Korea's exports in this particular field:

Historically, North Korea has assisted a vast number of revolutionary, insurgent and terrorist groups in more than 62 countries. A cumulative total of more than 5,000 foreign personnel have been trained in North Korea, and over 7,000 military advisers, primarily from the Reconnaissance Bureau, have been dispatched to some forty-seven countries. Some of the organisations which received North Korean aid include the Polisario Front, Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, the Communist Party of Thailand, the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution. The Zimbabwean Fifth Brigade received its initial training from KPA instructors. North Korean troops allegedly saw combat during the Libyan-Egyptian War and the Angolan Civil War. Up to 200 KPAF pilots took part in the Vietnam War, scoring several kills against US aircraft. Two KPA anti-aircraft artillery regiments were sent to North Vietnam as well.
North Korean instructors trained Hezbollah fighters in guerilla warfare tactics around 2004, prior to the Second Lebanon War.

Of course, it's not conclusive but it could be true.

Hmm, so reading through this I can safely assume Combo hates USA, ridicules people for buying into media propaganda, doesn't realize N Korea is ALL propaganda, will disregard facts as more propaganda and REALLY hates the USA because of their phantom agendas.

If North Korea tries anything china will intervene, there's no way china will want a possible nuclear war on its door step.

Rodman should get NObama's nobel prize medal
===

Rodman goes to North Korea, hours later, nuclear war threats.

He should be jailed as a war criminal.
---------------
That's because Obama said some rhetoric and did some things that set it off. obama is a disgraceful moron and his lack of skills as a leader have us in this pickle
===================

What are the things he said my good man?

Thank heavens he didn't identify Russia as a major threat like Mitt Romney did, who actually have the capability to hit the US. Did he call them a member of the axis of evil? My bad, that was George Bush.

It makes me laugh that the most ill informed Americans shout the loudest. Watching Fox News is rotting your brain

Just think of this
USA gets their foot in Korea to stop Communism spreading for geopolitical reasons - country divided along the parallel and possible reconciliation highly unlikely because of the perceived enemy next door. Proximity fuels antagonism between two ideologically torn parts of the same country and culture.

USA forced to pull out of Viet Nam - country lives through communism until eventually finds it unworkable, now in a peaceful transition to capitalism.

I just hope the UK stay out of this but we all know that if US click their finger we will as there lap dog have to join as so called allies.

Going to North Korea is going to the unknown. This could backfire on them big time.

The only reason that North Korea are so frightening is because they have the support of China. The day will come when America has a quick chat with China and asks them to sort out this problem. Then it will all be over in a weekend.

Nuclear weaps are predominantly made for scare tactics. To use one would be to the demise of your own nation.

North Korea would be sent back to the stone age if they flinch first
For example, if North Korea

America ain't stupid

If they genuinly felt there was an imminent threat to their nation, they would get the first punch in anyway

Also they do not believe they have the capability to deliver on their threat anyway

I'm presuming they have hundreds of spies in NK anyway. Can't imagine for a second they would be sitting around a table and guessing without any intelligence whatsoever

NK need to seriously back down and fast though for me. You're not going to get many friends threatening to start a nucleur war. NK is a country run by madmen who has an ego to believe he could on America without repercussions to his country and that really isn't any fault of America

Sure I read somewhere not long ago that the people of NK are told alsorts of rubbish in the news, like for example, they have many Gold Medal winners at the Olympics and stuff like that

yeah a crazy dictator who lives like a god while his people starve in a country that has literally spoken of nothing but bombing the US for the last 50 years and somehow this is the USA's fault.

---------

theres far worse going on in the world.

why arent the US in syria? i mean the helped out the libyans... wonder why?

the US have an agenda in everything they do. this is typical bully behaviors, we have nukes but your not allowed to.

all complete BS.

Combo

You are quite possibly the most ignorant poster I have seen on this thread.

I have only read the first page mind.

You really need to do your homework on North Korea before mindless gobbing off over America.

Rob, I don't think Japan would say they saved lives.

....................

Maybe Japan should have thought of that before they decided to attack Pearl Harbour.

If you want to attack one of the big boys, don't cry when you get a bloody nose.
