"how do you get around spending so much time on ja606 when you are all supposed to be working"
Fixed price work (you waste your own time) .
When I am running system simulations that take ages to complete, there is nothing else I have to do.
The only work I do these days is Daniel Levy's sexual activity advisor.
He told me the other week if he wanted my facking advice he would ask for it.
Chronic
I`m retired, so have all the time in the world to get other things done during the day, plus spend hours on 606.
When i was in my previous role last year I was spending way too much time on ja606, to the degree I wasn't getting some things done
When I left to start my new role with another company I vowed to stay of 606 and concentrate on my job however I find myself back on here
Do companys not check internet usage or something as I am shocked I have not had a warning for spending so much time on ja606.
Levy spends 364.5 days a year on Spurs websites.
He dedicates a 12 hr slot on Aug 31 each year to get a whole years' work done.
Do companys not check internet usage or something as I am shocked I have not had a warning for spending so much time on ja606.

maybe not.
basically we had an email about two years ago saying that people were spending too much time online.. but we have not had one since...
i am actually leaving at the end of July, so i simply dont give a shiiiit
I have multiple screens, so I can have JA open on one, and my work open on another (JA seems to have it's own screen )
I am planning on becoming self employed, so I will have much more work to do.
I might need another screen.
I have my own office within our company so as soon as I see someone approaching the door i switch tabs! But, I work fast so always have an acceptable level of work done that no questions are asked

Some do, some don't.
Computer industry tends to be more laidback about access. More traditional companies (accounts, admin etc) are the ones most likely to have all the youtube/facebook/twitter blocks on.

in our firm youtube and facebook isnt blocked...
porno is, and so is betfair.. which really annoyed me when i wanted to place a bet
We have a "the man has entered the building" flag up from our sister on reception
I have probably overcharged every single one of my clients by at least 25%, thanks to ja606

Outstanding
I have this recurring thought where Im called into the HR office. My manager is sitting there with the HR woman looking none too pleased. He then says 'well hello MESSIAH' and I'm like
he then goes on to read out some of my comments from here and believe me at that stage Id just fackin run
"how do you get around spending so much time on ja606 when you are all supposed to be working"
I didn't. I was caught and banned from the internet :'(
if my boss called me in and says "hello chronic", i would would probably ask him if he was a user of ja606 too..
infact he would probably be groovyduringthewar or some other plank i have had several arguments with in the past

This. I always scope out a job at first by working just to their expectations and in this job I can do the work in about a third of the time they expect which leaves me plenty of JA606 of time.
Again, surprised they haven't noticed - especially considering I got an unofficial warning for FB when I used it for two days to keep in contact with people while my phone was broken.

I spend a lot of time on here at work as well but I always complete every task I am set and have never missed a deadline. That is all my bosses care about.
I am that damn good
I can't get onto betfair either or any gambling site for that matter

if someone walks past me i quickly flick off of it...
it helps that i have a manager sitting next to me who actually watches wimbledon live on full screen on one of his screens... so he doesnt really have a leg to stand on
I couldn't get onto betting sites at my last job, but I can here

Inappropriate sites are fair game, Chronic.
Job sites seem to be the other one 'traditional' companies block too.
The worst I had was 6-8 yrs ago, where the client was blocking access to Web mail accounts. For me on an away gig twas an utter nightmare.
when i go to a client's premises the first thing i do is ask if i can get online
i am a total joke to be honest. i am actually a disgrace. i totally rip off my clients
