When you kick the ball your leg comes up afterwards, so as the two players converge the studs hit the leg.

It’s not a lunge, it’s not out of control, it’s not excessive force.

This isn’t rocket science.

Not really. I will remember maguire header getting wrongly disallowed but it’s a cop out to say it’s just one or two decisions you remember going against Utd. It’s pretty evident that any going footy fan or experienced fan in this country sees it for what it is. It must be great for you lot and all the power to you. No conspiracy, no memory loss. No, I am talking specifically about fouls where a player comes off his feet in a forward motion with a leg outstretched that ends with his studs in an opponents leg. Intent is irrelevent, and many fouls are intentional.

Which I don't agree Shaw did. That wasn't what I was replying to. You said its a red if studs are high....etc. There is no law that says that.

For me, if studs are high and plant above the ankle - then you hugely increase the chances of breaking someone’s leg. That for me epitomises endangering the safety of an opponent.
