"Perhaps Moyes has been sacked. That will lift the spirits of many Utd fans, shareholders and sponsors.

The Utd brand has been damaged significantly under the chosen one"
--------------------------------------------

You not a Moyes fan then? You should let people know.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks, will create some articles to let people know.

Robb

If it benefits the club then it benefits the fans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree. But only if it benefits the club.

We're going to be bringing around half a billion from the Nike and Chevrolet deals. It remains to be seen how much of that goes to the club and how much goes to the Glazers.

I'm genuinely not if the opinion that the Glazers are doing a bad job. Far from it. But with all the hundreds of millions of pounds brought in from the dozens of sponsorship deals we have, I don't see how selling the rights to the stadium is a necessary move.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Whilst I disagree with the stadium rights being sold, it may become necessary to strengthen the pathetic squad Fergie left behind.

We do need 23 new players you know

Is that the rumour then? They want to rename OT?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yea it's a rumour nothing more. Richard Keys (yes I know) claims to have heard from reputable source.

Probably a load of nonsense but for silly amounts, we'd be foolish to not consider it.
-------------------------------
You would accept The Glazers allowing Old Trafford being renamed just to pay off a debt that was levereged against the club by =them in the forst place, just so they make more money in the long term from the club?

Personally I would hit the roof

Where does it stop though, SE85?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

It doesn't. And that's the point.

That's where football has gone and is continuing to go?

Do you want to watch Utd competing for honors?
---------------------------
i would rather watch Manchester United at Old Trafford in the confernece than watch The Manchester Marauders at the Nike Arena

Football is losing its soul and it's values, United, as one of the biggest clubs there are, do not have to follow suit and lose its soul too, all in the name of paying off the debt of a billionaire

Stadia and sporting venues is part of our heritage. Lords. Twickenham. St Andrews, Winbledon. Anfield. Old Trafford. Wembley.

Leave then as they are rather than let billionaires change them all in the name of adding another zero to their already enormous personal fortunes

Agreed Macca.

Too many people on here use the 'ah well, it's just the way it might go' rather than realising that we can stop things like this from happening.

United are already a massive cash cow and the money we make from other sponsorship is probably more than most other clubs make put together.

Selling the naming rights for the stadium is just a step top far. No success is worth that.
